JDM ZC SOHC Non-Vtec cam specs
http://effinmotorworks.com/SOH...s.htm
so far as i can tell with the known information, both the "SOHC ZC" and "mystery" cam are indeed SOHC ZC cams. there are just different SOHC ZC engines (carb and PGMFI), so its hard to tell what youre getting.
:edit: actually it is easy to tell. if it has a huge extra lobe at the distributor end, then its a carbed cam. if its not there, and its from a SOHC ZC, then its MPFI.
although that page will claim their "sohc ZC" cam is the PGMFI cam, i believe their "Mystery cam" is really the PGMFI cam. and probably what youll be getting from that ebay guy.
one thing for sure tho is that any cam claiming to be a SOHC ZC cam is certainly NOT THE SAME as a d16a6 cam.

Many people will tell you different things. But the thing is, the only true difference between these engines is the cam. Honda has always made different cams for different engines based on their purpose. The D15B1 cam is a fuel efficient cam and is different than the D15B2 cam. The D16A6 is the best usdm -91 cam, period. The power difference is in the pm7 ecu + cam
i just figured out that the specs labelled "sohc zc" is from a carbed engine (105ps). the "mystery ZC" cam is from the SOHC ZC MPFI engine (120ps).
at this point, im 100% certain.
you can see the intake timing is the same, just higher lift. .233 apparently this is where the extra 10hp is from...

+ PM7 ECU.
Otherwise obd0 sohc engines would be equipped with PM6s from factory.

SOHC ZC's arent from civic or CRX.
but it brings up an intersting question. what ecu did they use for these SOHC ZC's?

I've read the PR5 is for the sohc zc teg.
The 88-89 PG7 will work on a sohc zc but its not ideal. Neither is a PM7 or PR4.
I would think that a stock 90-91 PM6 with an adj fuel pressure regulator set 2lbs higher and the ignition timing advanced a couple degrees would ideal engine management for the sohc zc.
