Default My B20 Vtec Dyno result

Some of you may remmember my B20 build from about 2-3 months ago. I finally got it on the dyno. This is tuned with a VAFC. I gained about 20whp after playing with the VAFC. Final figures were -
234hp
155tq

Any feed backs? I was expecting more because of the high compression set up -
B20B 85mm with F20B Accord SiR pistons
ITR head, ITR IM, ITR TB, Skunk stg2 cams, skunk valve train, DC 4-1.
12.5:1 cr.
Will post up the graph later.
I'm impressed with the torque because it stayed high all throughout the rom ranges.

Good stuff I'm happy to see it worked out, I was curious to see how that block was going to work out for you.

Thanks, I'm surprised you guys like the figures. I was thinking they are a bit low. TBH i was expecting around 210whp. Hondata is next on my list anyway. Aiming for high 12's low 13's NA.
Ran 13.5 on street tires this weekend.
Will post the dyno graph as soon as i get the scanner.

Used Stock strengthened rods.

Sounds alittle high for that setup...what kind of Dyno? What was the correction factor?

you aimed for 210 at wheels and overshot with 234 at wheels ? that looks like a chassis dyno chart, correct ?

if thats 234 at wheels for the mods listed, thats an excellent setup, not to mention very smooth and clean curve.

good ****...i am doing a b20 build up over a year and a half...so i have a lot of time to make sure i dont **** up...but yea i was wondering what head would go good w/ a high cr...i was planing on getting high 12 to low 13 compression pistons..but i wasnt sure what head to put on there to compensate for such high compression...but nice setup...congrats

either head will work well, if you are getting aftermarket pistons then just change piston specs to give you the compression you like...keep in mind gsr head usually have .2 cr over the b16

Could'nt tell ya. I bought the block already built. I'm not an engine builder.
As for the VAFC Wide thr high cam point was richened by around 20% and afew other places leaned. It was the tuner that played with it at the dyno. Personally i reckon he's gone too rich. I had a glance at the AFR and in some instances i was seeing 10.2!!
Hondata next!!

I would like to know as well. If they are a straight drop-in, they would be a good, low-cost alternative to expensive and clattery forged pistons.
