I just bought a D16 from an 87 integra ls and I wanted to know if it was pretty much the same as the ZC motor? I want to put this motor into my 90 crx dx, so where could I find a How-to on exactly what to do?

 

Also what is this motor? And where would the engine code be stamped on the engine?

 

It is a d16a1 and it will not "bolt" into a 90 crx dx plus the 87 I believe still uses a vacuum advance distributor. It has less power than the ZC and the engine code should be on the front of the engine to the left of the exhaust header. It might be covered in grime so you may want to wash it off. IMO it is too much work to put in an ED chassis for very little gain when there are better options available.

 

So how much work is it to put this motor in my car? And where can I get a guide?

nah man.....sell it to someone with an older 1st gen crx or 3rd gen civic.

i've never seen one put in a 2nd gen rex.

Yea but how much money could I get for it and now I don't know what motor to put in my rex. Any suggestions? I was thinking about doing a B16 but I'm only going to have like 1500 from graduation. Should I do this or no?
