Default Spoon North American Authorized dealers

Dear H-T members,

I understand there are a lot of rumors and news about the Spoon network in North America. We are the exclusive importer for Spoon Sports in North America, offering full technical support and warranty on full line Spoon products.

I would like to inform that IPS Racing and R&D Motorsports are authorized "North American Spoon Sports Dealers."

Furthermore, there are many other companies carrying Spoon products, most of them grey marketing products through Japan and claiming themselves as Spoon distributors. These "known" companies are not selling the Spoon products to other dealers. The definition of distributor means having prices set up to not only sell retail but also to distribute amongst other shops. A&J Racing is able to do this and consiquently our "North American Spoon Sports Dealers" are also have this ability.

To offer product support with knowledge and experience on each and every product of a product line is also needed to be a "distributor" of any product. We at A&J and all "North American Spoon Sports Dealers" are able to supply this support while other "direct importers" are not able to do so. With the intent of only buying and selling products, other "importers" are not able to supply the quality of support we, referring to A&J racing and dealers, are able to.

Many customers who have purchased products from "importers" not within our network have contacted us for the neccessary information they needed. In addition, information from our website has also been taken into use by other "importers". We and our dealers do not feel that to be very "correct" at all.

This post is for clarification purposes only. We have no intent to displease anyone as we do understand that the public does have their own opinions. If there are any concerns or questions, please do not "flame" on this thread and directly contact us. We do welcome any other comments.

Thank You,
Staff
A&J Racing Motorsports

Sounds like this post was in reponse to other certain companies selling Spoon products, possibly for less than list price.

Makes perfect sense to me. This is why I'm friends with David @ R&D.

I'm sure IPS is cool too.. just haven't personally talked to him as much as David.

Either way,

Alan/Ben,

Could you also clarify your TypeOne products as another member has asked in another thread? Are all your TypeOne products coming from Japan or are they coming/manufacturered from ??? Thanks.

Sniff, sniff, I think I am going to cry...

Sean - TYpe One that is producing the headers and exhausts for A&J is NOT the same one down the street from Spoon Sports.

Thanks for the post clearing things up. There seems to be a lot of false information floating around lately regarding this. I like sticking with Mike at IPS for my Spoon products

I guess the folks at Spoon are blowing smoke up my ****. I spoke with Sayaka Matsuda today, she says that she is in charge of the Inline Four account and that they are an authorized U.S. distributor, not North American. So I heard it from the horses mouth, just thought I'd share it with the rest of the members scratching their heads.

What is up with Inline Four and other places like Options Auto? How are they dealing Spoon?

If this has already been addressed in another post, please quietly ignore me

I read a reply to your post on the S2000 board and the person had a good point. You guys are complaining about other people who grey market SPOON stuff, but you guys grey market MUGEN and TODA stuff getting a taste of your own medicine aren't you?

If you grey market other products that have official distributors then you shouldn't complain about others who grey market your product.

Dave at R&D

I'm in Canada and far away from eastern USA but he still took my order and charged me a good price for shipping.

I agree!!!
