Shake when I brake
Whenever i brake my car shakes, not to vibrantly. just a lil. i took my car to my mechanic he said my breaks in the back are fairly new and my front brakes have like 10k miles worth of wear on them. i bought this car a lil bit more than 2 years ago and i havent had to do the breaks yet. what could be causing the car shaking a lil bit? rotors?
if it shakes only when braking more likely warped rotors. if it shakes all the time, then maybe the tires need balancing. try braking with the ebrake and see if it still shakes.

If it does then it will be your rear rotors being warped. If not then its your front rotors. Also if you steering wheel shakes when braking it will be the front. It the pedal vibrates it could be the back, but e-brake is a better way to tell about the rear brakes.

You need a new mechanic. The first thing they should have checked was the rotor runout. You have warped rotors. If its very slight, and the metal is not damaged from overheating, they may be able to cut them, OW you need new ones. CHING! CHING!

Time to get new rotors....you're better off....

Because, if your rotors are warping, it's likely to assume his rotors are old anyway. Might as well get new ones with new pads. Don't have to mess with it for a long time...

it depends on how old his car is and how much rotor is left.... the reason they could be warped are not based on how old they are but probably becuase of the way he breaks. Warped rotors are caused for heavy breaking from high speeds... theres no reason to by new ones unless they are damaged or unrepairable.. most warped rotors on daily drivers arent bad enough to not be resurfaced.. it would be a waste of money to buy complete new ones if you dont need them.. resurfacing them will make them as good as new

O.k. you do have a point there, but I guess it comes down to preference.

yea it does, but you shouldnt go tell sum1 to go spend money on something they might not need. you could've at least given him an oppinion option instead of just saying you'll need to by new ones.
Make sure if you get new tires or have your tires rotated that your lugs are torqued to honda specs. That will cause your rotors to warp. Have you rotors resurfaced first... if their isnt enough there to turn then get new ones. Dont spend the money until you have too.
