no negatives from me.. mine is a slow as you can go.. but I also drag race it.. the front you just loosen the tripple trees and let it slide down until you get it where you want it or you can also buy the straps so you can just take them off when ever you feel like it.

I also ride some twisites and have had no problems

If you lower your bike you are severely limiting your clearance on leans. If you drag race its going to help your launches a lot. There are a lot of little things you can try and do to get a little extra clearance if youre short. Adjust the suspension, shave some foam out of the seat. If you're girlfriend is really short she's probably really light too so the suspension is probably pretty stiff for her weight. Adjust the sag and see where she is from there. If she's so short she cant reach the ground at all I wonder if she should be riding that particular type of bike at all.
If you do lower the bike with dogbones you'll have to modify your side stand as well.

In my honest opinion... You DO NOT want to put a strap on the front end to lower it. A) as your shocks compress w/ the strap under the pressure of a major bump it can blow your seals and B) it isnt stable say you hit that bump the strap doesnt stay in place...

I say just loosen the triple, lower it and get a dogbone for the rear...

if you lower it the triple tree way will your shocks up front wear out ALOT faster?

also how hard is it to raise it back up?

I'm getting my bike from the shop tomorrow or Fri. I had it lowered with an adjustable dogbone and I just may lower it at the triple tree also. I wouldn't recommend straps that's only temp for the track they break under everyday use. U could get an adjustable dogbone and do it yourself, I see them on ebay for $90-100.
I'm gonna ride the hell out of it this weekend and I'll let u know how it handles.

Well I've been ridin' and I love it. The wheel doesn't come up like it used to, I'd have to pop the clutch pretty hard. And of course I can't lean over as far but I'll leave that to the kneedraggers, I can always relocate the pegs but for now I'm happy. The throttle response is great and it takes off like a rocket at 3500 rpm.
I'm going to ride to the Derby/Bike meet in Louisville tomorrow. Hopefully I'll have some good pics to post.
