Default new ef project

Update!
I put all the major picts from beginning to current on the first post so it is easier to read.

Well I sold my gs-r, and I picked up this civic si for 2k. It is gonna be a project, it is basically half done. Almost everything I need it there except seats and a couple other small misc stuff that I need to dig up.
mods so far I have found:
new paint
94 jdm b16a
skunk 2 manifold
eibach springs kyb shocks
s1 tranny
hasport mounts
pr3 ecu
full black ES bushing kit
scca roll bar (coming out)
hx wheels no on the car yet, need 2 new tires

Things I need to dig up:
front bumper support
shifter bushings
possible ef civic seat rails

Here are some picts:

Soon after:

Got tires on the hx wheels so I threw them on:

A shot of the seats: (not installed just sitting)

Back seats just shoved in for now:

And of course the engine bay bling!

ic pict: (wtf it flash for

Getting closer:

Here are some updates:
still have some hood clearamce issues with the 92-95 radiator:

93 GS-R seats front and back, no ef pans or rails:

Guages:

TUNING!!!

Out side and exhaust shots: (yes I need the trim, if you have some hit me up)

Blew it:
Ring lands:

Pistons looking good even though it blew:

Head looking good too!

Project SIR2 type2 will be in progress shortly. Crack a beer and salute the first one. Bone stock it ran like a beast!

Well just picked up the block from the machinest.

Acl bearings
srp pistons
eagle rods should all be going in tonight. I'll try to grab a couple picts!

Well my rings finally came in, so I will be building it tonight - 8/24/05
Pistons and rods:

Update!! 8/29/05

Well I got the motor in finally. Got about 5 miles on it.

Looks good but kinda expensive for 2k. Keep us updated

For some odd reason, I like the taillights... what year is the car again? it has to be 88 or 89.

nice project........ in white too!!!

Not really the most important factor, but the shaved side molding clips look like crap... Put those things back on homie..especially with the upper part of the bumpers painted, it will match correctly

they are not shaved they just were never put back on.....so yeah they will be back on as soon as I get some. I got another shell in this deal and I need to go pull some moldings and stuff off of it for this one.

Well I finally had 15 minutes to spend on the car. I test fitted the seats a bit, and started installing injectors and test fitted some other stuff. Ill keep updatng as I go. Here are some newer picts:

Got tires on the hx wheels so I threw them on:

A shot of the seats: (not installed just sitting)

Back seats just shoved in for now:

And of course the engine bay bling!

Looks like I am going to have to notch the webbing on the block a bit. Keep checking back for updates.

looks pretty sexy my man...Keep it up. Just nothing stupid....join me and be CF free.... No clear lights no wings....Just a stock/clean looking beast.....thumbs up on this end. I love how your garage as another car, and a whole nother set of engine aprts to pick and choose from.....

P.S: how you like that S1 tranny? Does it keep up with that turbo?

lol yeah the garage is full of parts, I'm the first on the list for locals to call looking for honda parts. As far as the body goes what you see on it besides the stock trim that is missing is what will be on it. I'm not into anything body wise. I will prolly paint the wheels a darker less flashy color that will about do it. As far as the tranny I dunno yet I just picked this up. I did have a j1 b16a w 50/63 turbo and it was just about maxedout in the 1/4 unless you like shifting to 5th . That is with 20' slicks though.

They look like very very old hasport mounts imo, but I could be wrong I guess. They are about the only thing I have seen that really look like these.
