My dad owns his own business. It's an indoor baseball training facility aimed at teaching swinging mechanics to 5-12 yr. olds. Well, one of the customers wasn't paying attention as they backed up and owned my poor, poor car... My dad comes in and tells me what happened and I couldn't believe it. Check out the pics... this was done in reverse at maybe 3-4 mph; other car didn't have a scratch.

Anyways, she was really cool about it. I got all the insurance info and it's gonna be fixed. Since it will all be repaired anyway, I think I'm most pissed off about her destroying those DIY corners I spent so much time on making perfect... I'll never get one to match the other, so I'm just gonna have to paint another set. I guess I can look at the bright side of things and be excited about getting new body peices and a paintjob though.

Also, there's not really a point to this post accept I'm ticked and wanted to vent.

Lucky they weren't going faster....just replace the fender and corner lamp and you should be good to go. Doesn't look to be any frame damage.

at least she had insurance and was nice about it, same thing happened to me, and the people gave me fake info

Dang donnie that suck i know how you feel (just add like 37mph and be seating in the car) but that suck.

Hey are you gonna look into any other color of paint and just add cash to the payment of repair or stay with stock

That happened to me, someone reversed into my right rear quarter panel. I was so pissed cause I just installed all my 96-98 ctr stuff..but then I took the insurance money to do a 99 si frontend converstion and championship white paintjob at the end, I was happy as hell..

 

i wish someone would do that to my car so i could get a jdm front end

Yeah, I'm thinking about using the insurance money to my advantage... It looks a LOT worse in person- the pictures make it look a lot better than it actually is... A guy who used to be a body guy who lives two houses down from me looked at it and said that I probably won't be able to find an estimate lower than $1500. I'm going to go over the car and see if it can be fixed just by replacing the fender, bumper, and cornerlight and if so I'm going to do that myself (I figure $75 for a fender on eBay, $75 for a bumper, $15 for a corner light), then use the other $1335 or so to get a Satin Silver Metallic paintjob and finish what I can of my D16Z6 engine build. Maybe this wasn't such a bad thing after all...

Oh yeah, that's another thing... I just got this car not to long ago! (I had it shipped from TX.) Haven't even got the tags in for it yet. It was pretty good deal though, got it for $2500, perfect condition. I just added the lip, DIY corners and fogs, the GSR wing, and the bronze HX's to make it a clean daily driver... it's not too clean anymore though!

crx's and delsol's dont stand a chance my first crx got ran over by a backing up k5 blazer and my second crx got backed into by s10, then a week later by some redneck in a F250.

 

did you consider a 97 bumper and jap headlights... ****, the other guy is payin for it why not.

 

I'd rather have my DIY fogs than the newer bumper. And as for the one-piece headlights- don't get me wrong, they are JDM sexiness, but I'd rather have the silver paintjob.
