Default Cloverleaf was AWESOME!!!

Well everyone, just wanted to say that I had a great time @ cloverleaf. The people were friendly and it was a beautiful day. I have never raced in, or watched an Auto-x and I must say that I think that this is my new addiction, and well worth the 2.5hr drive!!! I never would have guessed that I would see so many volvos but that was cool. Trak Hor was running while I was working so I got to stand out there and watch him go round, which was pretty cool and from a novice standpoint he looked pretty fast. Get fast was the main speaker in the a.m. but I didnt get a chance to talk with him. The ZR1 vette was AMAZING!!!!! So all in all a good day. Thanks for a great time everyone and I hope to see you all again soon.

P.s. I was the guy in the Brownish EG hatch spinning and sliding all over the place killing cones left and right . But I did get a 57.xxx, which I feel is pretty good.

That was a really clean civic. I did your tech inspection and was admiring the car as I went around it. Im glad you had a great time. Seemed pretty quick out there especially for a first time.

Hope to see you at one of the next events.

This car:

I do believe I spotted R-comps in front and 500 treadwear highway tires in the back, now THAT's the way to make it rotate

very good event, some folks put up some very impressive times. i'm either rusty/sucky as hell or my car is crap. i'm thinking it's me as i didn't pull off one run which i'd actually consider "solid." ended the day with a 56.7. maybe next time i'll take a break from teching cars and actually walk the course until then, i got rolled.

i got very few pics... none of anyone on here: http://www.iammike.org/gallery...04_17

what are y'alls setups?

kndaqikEG, you looked very good out there from what i could see. 54's were fast for anybody that day, never mind a novice . you were definitely rotating like whoa too, something i wish i had going for me on a few parts of that course.

this was my first time at cloverleaf and it impressed me (except for a few ugly cracks in the pavement). great event, hope i can make it another time or two. and talk about machinery...so many nice cars!

i was the nappy haired guy driving the red '99 Si in heat 3 btw (in line behind the evo MR in GetFast's picture)

oh, and c1i9v8i9c, nice driving man. i thought i had STS pretty well rocked on my last run until i saw the results, and how enourmous a gap you had pulled on the whole STS field. i'll gladly take second though! i worked section 1 of the course with your dad during heat 1, from the conversations i had with him, he seems like a cool guy. both his car and yours are sweet too, i might add.

Rant!!

Welcome to America, where greedy liability attorneys and the losers they represent have every municipality and business scrambling to eliminate the slightest risk. A few worthless saps get rich, the rest of us pay for it.
