Default New blower on market for lude.....maybe

Not that anyone here is about the vortech blower on a lude, but I thought Id share. http://www.rippmods.com is considering making a blower kit for the lude. Check it out and let them know if you are interested. They make good numbers on alot of other cars. Worth checking out.

We put one on a v6 eclipse convertible and I wasn't impressed at all. For the amount spent on the kit, the power gains were crap. If you have a prelude and want to spend money to make good power, you buy a turbo or you throw on a 75 shot (based on budget), end of story.......

Yup; there's not really a demand for a blower on the Preludes, especially a centrifugal.

I think the supercharger for the h22 would be a great idea. Those cars that are being talked about are Mitsubishi's. The h22 is a much deeper breathing motor than the 6g72 found in the eclipse.....

I've been for several rides in RIPP'ed vehicles and never have experienced anything like it.

and the power was weak? RIPP has been known for its SDS and its power gains. They also have the faster 3g Eclipses in the country. How can they're s/c power be weak??

How do you know it's a "deeper breathing" engine? What does that mean? Do you have some test data?

You either A) Hang out with a bunch of ricers or B) Don't get out much. Find someone with a good turbo honda and bring an extra set of pants.....

This car was slow as **** even with the RIPP methanol injection http://www.solid-technology.com/fred_eclipse.htm
Granted, the car went from doing 18's to 16's, but that's still crap for the $5K+ he spent on all the RIPP mods. I saw a grand am with the RIPP crap on it, that car is the lamest piece of garbage ever. RIPP likes to make products for cars they figure stupid ricers are driving, it would be an insult to the prelude community if they started on a prelude blower.......

Blowers on 4bangers suck like Satan said as well
