Do any of you work for the Honda/Acura corporation? Do you /really/ have the 'inside' scoop?
I highly doubt anyone on this board knows when or if the ITR is coming to America. So, why not grab onto your mice and do some more researching kids. You might just find some late breaking news from ClubSi.com!

Agreed know one really knows and I really doubt that the kids at Club Si know either.....
He read it on ClubSi.com. First of all do you believe everything you read or see on TV? Hope not.
It would be stupid for Honda to bring the CTR over hear cause it would kill sales for Acura and the rest of the Honda family. I can see the RTR cause of the history behind the ITR, but never the CTR.

Aha! Honda is reading our posts!
I think Honda NEEDS to bring the CTR to the US. There's a grip of new cars that can eat up the SI that's coming out at the end of this month.
I would definitely look into getting a CTR. Especially if it was the JDM-spec version with all the red accents and Recaro seats.
And bring it for $22k. Mmmm. Make mine the white mini-minivan with red interior.

HAHAH either way I can't afford it, so i guess it does'nt really matter much for me...and for 22-25K, you can build a better can that a CTR...maybe thats just my opinion
i just read this on vtec.net
Just got the latest Motor Trend in the mail yesterday and it had a small news
section confirming that the Civic TYPE R and the RSX Type-R are coming in
about a year. Both will arrive around the same time! If you want to verify
this for yourselves it is in the March 2002 MT on page 24, left hand column
above the Civic Type R pictured! Hope this is helpful!
Thanks,
John Miller
We have already heard about the RSX Type-R coming our way, but there hasn't been much lipservice regarding a Civic Type R making its way here. Frankly, I'm a bit surprised that this info has been "leaked", especially since the first Si hasn't even been sold here yet. This is pure speculation, but perhaps is has something to do with the outcome of the recent Car and Driver "Hottest Hatches" shootout (the SVT Focus won). The Si is a great car by itself, but two of the big shortcomings that stood out in my mind were the somewhat uninspiring (yet still competent) motor and the lack of a limited slip differential. Perhaps the Type R version will address both of these complaints (which I've yet to officially make; for all of those who are awaiting the remainder of the Civic Si review, please accept my apologies. I intend to publipoo poo by Monday, so I can finish writing up my review of the 2002 CR-V).

He's right, It does state it in new motortrend, whether or not its gonna happen. I think it will.
But why get any R car if the Evolution 7 comes
EbboyPSi Who still will probably get an R car when the si is paid off
