Help me calculate my compression ratio

I need help calculating my compression ratio on my setup and lining up the cam gears.
The pistons i have are rated at 12.5:1 cr and the head that i have is milled 0.040. from what i know. This setup puts me at 13.1:1 with advancing the cam gear something like 4 degrees with the stock head gasket.
Now, I have a 0.051 cometic headgasket to lower the compression. With the cometic Headgasket my compression will be 12.6:1 correct? what i"m wondering is if this is correct and what would i do with the cam gears in this situation
