Well, it’s time to sale the car. My wife wants me to get a family car since we just had our first baby boy on March 18th. So, I’m selling this hatchback and getting a TSX. I bought this car from a friend 2 years ago after he wrecked it and the insurance company decided to total it. After putting on a new bumper and hood, I got it inspected and got a Reconstructed Title for it. I had plans to fix up the body and get it painted but your priorities change when you have a kid. The body is in decent condition other than the dent on the passenger rear quarter panel and some rust on the rear wheel well normally seen on these chassis. The car will come with the stock cassette player and the MB Quartz door speakers, no other stereo equipment seen in the pictures. PA inspection will expire soon, so I will get new PA inspection before selling it. This car is basically my weekend car and I put around 5k miles on it a year. The chassis has around 120k miles on it and the engine has 25k miles total. I’m asking $7,000 for it or best offer, I’m willing to part it out if I can find a buyer for the chassis and the engine. So far, I already have a buyer for the tranny, header, hood, traction bar, brakes and the rest should be pretty easy to get rid off but I hate having to take it all apart after putting so much work into it. The car has been on the drag strip 3 times, twice at our local 1/8 mile and once at Beaver Spring ¼ mile. The best time on the 1/8 mile was 8.52@85 mph with 20” slicks and on the ¼ mile was 13.82@104mph on all weather 195/60R14 street tires. This car is also great on gas, I checked it 2 weeks ago and I got 31 mpg with about 80% highway miles on the same tank. Expect to see 20-22 mpg if you drive it hard all the time. If your looking for a hatch done right and cared for this is your car. Its needs some exterior love and thats about it. The car runs extremely strong and i will vouch for Thai any day of the week. He doesn't want to sell the car.....but often are wants simply aren't feasible.

I agree totally with you. This car has been done right and I can vouch for Thai. He is a great guy, just moving on to different things. You should feel vtec in this beast.. Or better yet, watch the vid of it beating me in the 1/4.

got a buyer for the chassis, now i just need to find a buyer for the swap and the hood.

 

saw this car at beaver dragstrip, good running car and he let me use his compression tester, so he deserves a bump from me
