That and if you've had any experience rebuilding cars that have had frame damage, many times they are NEVER the same as they were before the accident which caused the damage, you can spend a fortune fixing every portion of it and they'll always have little quirks about them...this happened to my brother's brokerage lot and a 355 spyder...EXTENSIVE amounts of $$$$$ spent on bringing it back to road worthy condition, but the car was just never up to par to what other 355's they've had that werent wrecked have been.
Doesnt seem worth it to me just to save some cash...i'd feel more comfortable paying full price for a new one or used one, or even buying a shell that has never been wrecked and putting that engine in it (if its undamaged as you said)...
Cosmetically alone your looking at several thousand dollars just to get it lined up right and get the panels all flowing together again.

If this car were to come through a bodyshop and be fixed like a regular car I would guess the damage to be around $10,000. All OEM sheet metal
1. Two Headlights
2. Two Fenders
3. Bumper
4. Hood
5. Lower lip
6. Upper Radiator Support
7. Radiator
8. Condenser
9. Steering rack
10. Misc other things in engine compartment not visable in pics
Both frond doors would have to be blended because of the very hard to match honda yellow. I am not certain if the newer S2000 yellow is still a three stage paint but if that is the case the cost will clime there also. So after all parts are painted, the frame is straightened and all OEM parts are assembled it will need an AC recharge and a detail. All in all I would say that $10,000 might even be a tad low. Again this is just a guess but I do work in a bodyshop as an assembler and I can tell you that it is an easy but expensive build. Just my .02c. I am sure there is some things that I am missing as the car is not in front of me but I hope it helps put things into perspective.

i would say 10k+
i would say 10k+
Its not even close to totalled. I would say $8-10K We have one here with over $21k and it is 2x as bad. It would take $25k+ to trash that car
What you guys fail to understand is that insurance companies could care less what it would take the rebuild a car if the frame has certain types of damage to it...if they get under there, find certain portions of the frame bent they will total it eve if the cosmetics could be done for $2,000...if there are any cracks in the frame from metal stress, that is an automatic total.
For instance...my wife's friend had a 2003 Z06, he was in an accident with a flat bed truck (rear ended it in the rain)...and bashed the entire front end up, i got to take a look at it and other than a bumper, hood and some fenders cosmetically it didnt seem so bad, insurance got out there, took a look at the car, had it up on a lift, and found some frame damage...they totalled the car which only had 5,000 miles on it, flawless condition before the accident. They WILL total a car if certain types of frame damage are present, even if it could be repaired for MUCH less than the value of the car. Has to do with state laws, resale issues and title problems that the owner may experience when explaining that the car had frame damage but was repaired and made street legal again...they will just toss you a check and be done with it.

i dont think that there should be more then 8gz worth of damage....ur replacing **** from the front end...not the entire car.....if u buy it all brand new...maybe it would cost more...but u can find **** used and pick it up...anyone who spends more then 8 to fix that...spent too much..way to much
Man, please. I am the parts mang. at a very large body shop. They DO NOT total cars because of frame damage. We just put a left frame rail in a 03 s2k a month ago . Cars total when the cost of the job = 85% of what the car is worth! If it is your Ins you might be able to get 100% out of them, you just have to fight

not at that price. by the time you finish it, you will spend at least 10k. 25k can get you a used 04 that hasn't been damaged

i would pay $14k if it has a clean title and 10-11k if it has a salvage title. if you need the front end let me know. i am in the process of parting a 04 GPW and will let the entire shell go for cheap!

ok mr. parts manager, i suppose maybe what you've experienced you havent seen it, but i have, and i asked the same question to an insurance claims adjuster, back when my wife wrecked the hatch we used to have...he said the same thing 2 other insurance people have told me, that certain types of frame damage will make an insurance company total a car, even if the damage is less than the cost of the vehicle, and even some cases when the cost of repair is relatively low...the car will be totalled. Im not trying to say that you dont know what your talking about or anything, but im going by what insurance has told me, maybe you've heard different but dont sit there and act like i dont have a clue when thats what i was told by State Farm insurance AND Geico.
