Default 88 crx si... what clutch n flywheel do i need?

im doing a sohc vtec swap in a 88 crx si and plan on using the orginal tranny, but i want to get a light flywheel and clutch for the setup ive looked at a few sites now and they never have any lightened flywheels for 88... can 89-91 fit? should i just use a whole 90 si clutch, PP, Flywheel ?

Your 88 transmission has 21 splines while later transmissions had 20. Also, starting with 1990 the clutch face was increased from 200mm to 212mm. If you want to use a 90 Pressure Plate and Flywheel, look for an earlier Accord disk as they were 212mm and had the 21 spline count.

No, the newer pressure plate and the flywheel from the 90 are both ment for a 212mm clutch face, not 200mm (88 disk).

You can use a 90 flywheel and pressure plate and an 88 Accord (212mm, 21spline) clutch disk.

Clutchcityonline.com sells this package in a kit form. P/N 08-009-UFW

Or you can use 84-87 2.0 Prelude Disk.

Use the pilot bearing for whatever flywheel you have(Ithink they are all the same) and use the throwout bearing for the 88 Si tranny.
