Who's RX-7 or Supra is more intimidating?

Ok I couldn't post this in the RX-7 or Supra forum, cause it would be too bias, anyways I want to have your guys opinions on who's car looks the most Intimidating? He likes to boost his car is the poo poo, since its a supra, but I tell him they just have better motors, but 7's look better and kicks just as much ***, the fastest cars on the track and dragstrips are 7's.

so heres the pics: The yellow and Blue/Purple/Black one is Mazda 94 RX-7 with a widebody kit, and the Blue Bomex kit Supra is also a 94.

So who's car looks more intimidating?





We havent raced yet, since my car was down at the time and he still doesnt have a Boost gauge on yet. MY FD makes 400FWH and 336WHP, he's hasnt dynoed but expects to be BPU and 450HP I think.

I think the Supra would be the more intimidating car to have on my *** simply because its bigger, but I'd rather have the RX7 if I had my choice of car, much more stealthy and sleek.

Depends on where we're racing at: road course or drag strip. I don't think I'd be intimidated by either. I've seen my share of Supras that couldn't turn or brake and my share of engine smoking RX-7s on the local road course. But of course, that depends on brake and suspension upgrades as well. Not to mention the driver!

With these two here, I think the Supra looks more impressive. But you can't really see the lines of the 7 at night even under those lights. Both are good looking cars.

Both cars are nice and intimidating but I would say the RX-7 is more intimidating, imho.

 

Put David Bernert's NSX in the picture, and you know what my vote is.

But seriously, I'd have to go with the Supra just because it's a Supra. Way too easy to make sick, reliable horsepower. And they look big and beefy, whereas RX-7s look like an anorexic viper wannabe or something.

Oh yeah, and this thread *is* off-topic, so if anyone gets their panties in a bunch about it, it's gettin' locked.

Neither....... I would go heads up with either one any day of the week.... Drag or road course.

I just wanted to point something out, didn't the 3G RX7 (FD) get designed in 92 and released in 93? I think that the idea of a radical improvment over the 2G RX7 was in the works about 5 years earlier. wasn't the Viper released in 93?

but anyways, If you look real hard the RX7 (FD) looks more like a Corvette C5/Z06 than a Viper, to me it does anyways.

The actual design of the FD was finalized in 89, but never mass produced until 1993, there were even a couple test FDs with the same body as now that were spyed on my motor trend in the 90's! I love the corveette z06 and GTS viper, they are awsome cars, but they did barrow degins from the FD. But anyways since I love RX-7's and vipers, two of my favorite cars! I tried to build an FD that had some domestic qualities, but ket its Japanese heritage as well. So hopefully imports and domestic owners can both appriciate it.

neither intimidates me as much as a black on black firehawk or SLP TA. The cars are very understates compared to the argression of the TA's design.

 

RX7

 

My vote goes to the Rx-7 (sans the neon stripes)

 

Forget about what "looks" intimidating.......I would be more intimidated by how fast they are on a road course!

But any ways both these cars look very nice! I love the lines of the Supra and it's really fast! 2J-GTE motor makes ungodly amounts of power! RX-7's 13B sounds awesome at high RPM but isn't a very reliable motor.

 

More intimidating? The Supra.
Which would I rather have? The RX7.

 

I think the viper was shown as a concept car in the late 80s. But anyway... Not that the RX-7 really looks like the viper (just the roofline a little, and the general long hood look).... Just that it's really curvey with sometimes awkward proportions and lines. *shrug* Alright, maybe just forget I ever said anything.

I had never noticed the similarity with the C5 vette, but I guess you're right. Although in that case, the RX-7 was clearly the predecessor.

first of all........dayamn those are both BEAUTIFUL cars!!!! I have always loved RX-7s and Supras, hell, I wanted to buy a one, but my parents wouldn't let me, so I got stuck with an INtegra Anyway, the RX-7 is sweet as hell, but the yellow stripes kill it. Id be scared poo pooless of either car if I saw it on the streets...but I think Id be more intimidated by the supra simply because it's bigger and looks more aggressive and also the paintjob.

 

You blokes aren't scared of Skylines? I'll do my best to change that!

My flat mate from Knottingham had an RX-7 and a Supra,but he was a rich bloke.

 

By the way, how is this related to the "S2000/NSX?"

 

No car scares me. I would rather race and loose to a supra or Rx-7 or Viper or 911 TT or whatever than race a saturn or cavaliers and loose to those cars.
