Default JDM D15B VTEC SWAP start to finish (pics inside)

Ok this is not a write up nor a recommendation on how to do your swap, but more of just a thread to share.

Here is the old D16A6 motor being pulled.

Finally! Empty engine bay!

Fitting the Si trans on the D15B VTEC

Ready to drop in ~ motor and trans

Still empty

Dropping it in ~ easier than it looks

Dropped

So pretty!

Some finishing touches

DONE

I am running a P08 (JDM) ECU that came w the motor mated to a VAFC ll
Yes it is running and this thing pulls REAL hard. And to all of you who say you cant hear/tell if VTEC is engaging - BULLSHIT it kicks in HARD on my motor

hell yeah muddapucka - Impo Skyline needs to open a shop. Fastest swap in the world so far - 36 minutes in record time in his driveway. Also holds the world record for fastest alternator swap in the middle of the street - 2 mintues.

Yeah I agree. I heard this quote once before,"I like my motors like my women........D's not B's."

I have always been a fan of SOHC motors. Nothing like little SOHC VTEC motors pulling on DOHCs.........PRICELESS.

The thing I am looking for now is to see a built up D15B VTEC motor and waht parts are being used. I know I can use any D-series header, as my A6 manifold bolted right up. I was also thinking about porting the A6 intake mani and bolting that up. I havent seen that done yet. Also any other bolt ons like an adjustable cam gear, camshaft, valvetrain.........

IDK torque specs but

A6: 102 hp-ish
D15B VTEC: 130-ish

Not the hardest by far. What car would be the easiest to swap a motor in?
