Default Painting on clearcoat for front lip? Help! (searched)

So I just got a OEM front lip from Handa Accessories and when I got it is was gloss black because they didn't have any Satin Silver ones left

So anyway when i got it it looked great, perfect paint, very glossy almost like a mirror. I almost felt bad taking the sandpaper to it. But I had to to paint it SSM.

So then I

Completely sanded it done with 600
Wiped it down thoroughly with tack cloth
Painstakingly painted it with 4 coats of SSM from Paintscratch

Once I was done with that I clear coated it, but this is where I sorta got disappointed. Even with the clear coat on it it still has a very satin finish to it and is not glossy like the rest of the bumper, so it doesn't look that great or match at all

So paint experts I need your help/opinions

Is their anything I can do to get a better clear coat/shine on it?
Do they make a special clear coat especially for plastics?
Are their any special brands that work better than others?
Did I miss anything when painting

if i where you after i put the 4 coats of silver on i would let it dry for like a day. then get some 2000 grit wet sand paper and wet sand it very lightly. thenput the clear coat on.

Yea, here is the best I could do

And here is another Prelude with the stock glossy finish

I might try to wet sand it lightly (200 grit) and re clear coat it. Do you think it will help?

its a kit you can buy... its pretty much a clear adhesive that you put on your lip n such to protect it from such things as rocks...

i first learned of it from a friend of mine... not sure how many of you know ken from po.com, aka 94lude

i believe its around 3 or 4bills and he even got some strips for his gas tank area and keyhole area to prevent any type of scratching. you dont even notice it on the pictures or even if youre right next to the car... and if a rock does hit it, it just chips at the guard and not the expensive paint job you got

http://www.sounddomain.com/id/ken94 theres the rest of his pics if you guys are interested

Do you have enough clear on the lip? Wet sand it with 2500 then buff. When you're doing clear, put a couple of fine mists all over and let it set for a couple minutes. Just barely get the part your painting wet. Then you want to spray a heavy coat of clear to the point that it almost drips. This'll give that piece that nice wet look when its done.
