Del Sol with EK front...what i've got to do?
Hi,friends told me that honda-tech.com has the only forum which could help me with all questions.
I live in germany and drive an B16 Del Sol.
User of the german hondaforum (hondapower.de) post some pics of american Del Sol's with an EK front!

I like this front and want the same for my Del Sol, an friend of mine called Micha (Wuman) which works for an Honda Dealer told me,that i only have to buy the EK parts and to install them on my Del Sol.He said that i only have to buy an closing carrier of the EK front. Is that true?Fits all EK parts on the chassis or have i anything to change? Would be so wonderful because it is not a problem to get headlights, hood, fenders and front bumper of an EK Civic.
Thanks

for how much i hate conversions and body kits that looks pretty nice. i know this has been coverd before so try a search but besides the obvious that u need u need the radiator support too.

i have seen the conversion first hand in my town and its damn nice! lines flow perfect and they should have made the del sol with that front end. The one i saw was oem and with a c'/f lip. crazy hot!
I hope so.Here in germany it is more then rare to drive an Del Sol,which looks not like the other ones.
The EK parts are very cheap so i think i buy the parts take the original parts away and bolt the EK parts on it,when it fits it would be nice.
When i've got to weld and cut i go crazy.
Damn that there is nobody which has an "EK"Del Sol...he should know everything about the conversion

stuff you will need: civic hood, civic radiator support, civic headlights, 6in's of civic fenders, and civic bumper.
weld the 6in civic fenders to the del sol fenders obviously removing a 6in partion of your del sol fenders. put the radiator support on, the headlights, the bumper, and bolt on and align the hood.
here is what my sol USE to look like...

You have to cut the fenders at the portion closest to your headlight because you're going to keep your stock del sol's fenders. The EK ones do not bolt on. You have to weld on a piece of the ek fenders so the headlights look flush.
Expect a reasonable amount of welding. I replaced my radiator support and it wasn't that hard and only took me about 20 minutes to get the old one off and the new one welded... But the fenders will take some time between welding and bondo.
I used your pic as a example:

Arrow#1 is the 96-98 or 99-00 fender portion and Arrow#2 is the stock sol fender. The cut in the middle is where you join the two. Hope that helps.
