Default Cutout with stock exhaust???

With my new motor/turbo setup I want to go with a very quiet exhaust. I will have a tuned 400+hp on tap and was wondering if its O.K. to run my stock exhaust daily driven? I know its going to be extreemly restrictive but thats where the cutout would come into play.

I dont want to have a flashy looking exhaust or a loud one to avoid any unwanted attention. My goal is stock or as sleeper as possible. Other options are and opinions are needed.

here is the Quick Time Electric Cutout that i have been looking into.

and a few down pipes with cutouts that i want to mimic and to give you a better idea as to the route I want to go.

Cheesefrog did it, you'll be fine. Honestly though, a 2.5" or even a 3" ES oval painted flat black with a pair of resonators is a very quiet and stealthy setup, and less hassle than opening the cutout when you want to get on it.

An ES oval is just a fairly cheap oval muffler, they're around 100 bucks and I think kteller.com sells them. Resonators you run before your muffler, they help cut down on the buzziness, raspiness, and volume of your exhaust.

I have my stock exhaust with a 3" DMH cutout, and it's sick, I love it.

Your car is going to drive a lot worse with the stock EF exhaust. What is it, like 1.5 inches, if that?

I have been contemplating a similar setup for some time now, but have been a bit reluctant use the e-cutout because of all the stories I have heard about them.

I would like to use a cable operated cutout, but the biggest one I have found is 2", and that just isn't going to cut it. Does anyone know where there are bigger manual cutouts available?

The other thing I thought about is using of the many throttle bodies I have laying around and rigging it up myself, but I think I might have an issue with having aluminum welded to steal and also I could think of away to have it open and stay open, since the butterfly valve is spring loaded.

I am planning on doing turbo -> cat -> long resonator, and then dumped before the rear suspension. I will also have the facade of a stock exhaust on the back. What are your guys` opinions on this?

I like the fully mechanical cutout from ATP. You guys may wanna check it out. It uses a reliable wastegate actuator to open the plate. So you could also throw on a cheap boost controller and set it to what pressure you want it to open. I use this with my factory exhaust and my car sounds stock untill I romp on it. All metal and mechanical so no reliability issues.
