FS: 93 DelSol $cheap$ milano red, many modifications, North Jersey/New York/ Penn.
SOLD SOLD SOLD for $5300 final price!
1993 milano red Del Sol. Chassis has 135,000 miles and engine has ~70,000miles- ALL highway b/c daily commuter for the past 6 years. No major accidents, 1 fender bender around 1999. Engine runs strong with no issues (no oil burning or leaking, etc.). Transmission shifts beautifully and was just rebuilt in June 04, with the clutch replaced in Sept 04. Both the clutch and engine babied over the years. Taken to the drag strip only 5 times over the past 6 years. The car is still being built even though I’m selling it. I worked very hard on the car over the years to have it track-worthy, but never got the chance to really race it since my new career consumes my life. Body is in good shape considering it’s a 1993. Paint is as good as I could keep milano red over the years. Body has no major rust. Some scratches and scrapes from over the years. I'm located in North Jersey but am willing to deliver the car as much as 150 miles from where I live.
Price is NOW $5700 and negotiable. was $6,000 and negotiable
don't particularly want to, but willing to ship. we'll work out the price if it comes down to that.
Like I said, runs and shifts great and selling it just in time to have the top off and cruise. Perfect daily driver to continue building or take the track/course on weekends.
Vehicle meets all SCCA, NASA, NHRA, and PDA racing regulations.
VIN number available to moderators if needed.
Modifications to the car include:
Engine: 2nd gen JDM B16A longblock, Driveshaft Shop Stage 1 axles (recently replaced Aug 04), removed A/C (spare parts inlcuded), P/S to manual rack conversion (spare parts included), CTR N1 Race crank pulley, DC Sports stainless 4:2:1 header, Megan high flow cat, Skunk 2 cat back exhaust (resonator removed and replaced w/ straight SS tubing b/c sat too low, a new resonator and SS reducers are included but not installed yet), Nitrous Express single fogger wet system, NX N2O filter, NX fuel pressure safety switch, NX purge kit, NX nitrous pressure gauge, NX bottle warmer (installed but didn't finished wiring yet), NOS blow down tube & fitting (included but not installed yet), NGK V-racing plugs, NGK wires, Energy Suspension motor mount inserts, Walbro 255lph HP fuel pump, Golden Eagle fuel rail, Aeromotive fuel pressure regulator, Marshall fuel pressure gauge, Spoon radiator cap, Injen oil cap; 3,000 mile oil changes with HAMP oil filter and Mobile 1 synthetic (6 extra HAMP oil filters also included- ~$11each) Also, just replaced thermostat and thermoswitch with OE honda parts. Fuel filter was also changed same time fuel pump was installed- Feb 04. Regularly filled with 93octane Shell v-power.
As you can see by the uninstalled parts and extras, I had no intentions of selling the car and took good care of it every day I had it. Depending on what the car sells for, I have a brand new uninstalled Nitrous Express Piranha 4cyl direct port conversion kit and a custom ITB set-up I fabricated, which would most likely be included. Also included is a stock Honda OE cat-back exhaust (b-pipe and muffler) in good condition. b-pipe only used for 1 month.
Shifting: GSR tranny, Exedy chromoly (9.0lb) flywheel, Quaife LSD, Clutchmasters Stage 3- 1700lbs pressure plate/segmented kevlar disk. Tranny totally disassembled to install Quaife LSD in June 04. I didn't like old clutch, so replaced with Clutchmasters Stage 3 in Sept 04. Just replaced clutch slave cylinder (brand new Tokico unit, not remanufactured), clutch master cylinder, and clutch fork in Sept 04. Energy Suspenstion shifter bushings keep shifting very crisp and clean!

Stereo: Stock Honda CD player and AM/FM radio, Four 200-watt Kenwood speakers installed with additional rear speaker brackets available through honda.
Exterior: 92-95 OEM Civic front lip. All original glass with no cracks or chips. Wiper arms powder coated glossy black Sept 04. Mr. Gasket locking hood pins (powder coated black, not spray painted, smaller non-rusting washers b/c others waay too big for del sol), Sylvania Silverstar headlights, stock lenses, Genuine Honda del sol car cover included- car covered many winters. Replaced rear window weather stripping around November 03 and regularly lube seals to prevent cracking & corrosion.
Interior: SPA Technique dual digital fuel pressure/oil pressure gauge, SPA Technique dual digital Nitrous pressure/water temp gauge, Proform dial-in shift light, DC Sports weighted shift **** (powder coated gloss black Sept 04), shift boot in great condition), Sparco (real) carbon fiber pedals, 2 underdash 20" red neon tubes, del sol red/black zig zag floor mats (perfect condition and very rare, not daily driver mats). Recently replaced sohc gauge cluster b/c temp needle was sticking and backlighting broke. The new DOHC cluster shows 50,000 more miles than the chassis truely has on it.
Safety Custom 4pt chromoly roll bar/cage (best fitting del sol roll bar ( ½ cage) I’ve ever seen. I personally made to fit within ½” of roofline and sides so no rear vision is compromized. It meets SCCA standards yet allows full function of rear window. 5pt Sparco camlock harness system- SFI approved (3" shoulder & lap, 2" submarine) in addition to stock seat belts for daily driving. Flaming River 300amp master kill switch w/ custom taillight push rod, chrome fire extinguisher
Other Mods: Candy blue shaved powder coated valve cover, Viper alarm & LoJack equipped (LoJack system checked yearly with battery just being replaced in Aug 04), The Club, The Autolock, additional kill switch (only I can start car), Hawker Genesis lightweight(12.8lb) battery, 316 SS distribution manifold and fittings for nitrous components, Jegs NHRA approved sealed aluminum battery box, trunk battery relocation.
Also, when buying the car I will give you my cell phone number to call for as long as you own it. So if you have any problems with the car I can help you solve them, since I’ve been with the car for so long and know it inside and out. All work was done personally with the exception of the transmission, but I oversaw that whole process as well.
Thanks for looking. Email me or H-T Instant Message me with any offers or questions. More exterior pics will be posted. In the process of redoing the Mcguire 3-step (cleaner, wax, polish) on the paint.

Bump for a good guy and a really nice car. To bad you were not selling this like 5 months ago. I would have bought this for my g/f in a heart beat.
i know man...timing is everything. 5 months ago (and still today) i had no intentions of selling the car. But now i don't even have the time to just fool w/ it on weekends. career is takin' the delsol away, but hopefully will let me get a Lotus Elise soon, lol. i need a more professional daily driver right now.

i will not take any installed part off the car, but the price is negotiable, especially if you only want the car and not all the other misc. parts that are either OE Honda removed or uninstalled yet.
no trades. cash only. sorry. PM me, i'm sure we can work something out.

i'll definitely deliver the car to your doorstep, since you're only in lancaster.

thanks man. it took sooo long to fabricate. i wanted it to fit PERFECTLY and still meet all the SCCA & NASA requirements and not be too bulky and not interrupt rear window vision. I actually made full-scale templates of the pieces (still have if interested). I used smaller diameter chromoly instead of larger diameter mild steel- cost much more. i used two bends on each side of the main hoop close to eachother to get the horizontal part of the main hoop as close to the roofline as possible (within 1/4" on the sides and 1/2 in in center of roof). angles are set exactly to spec w/ regards to the diagonal braces, and done with full finctioning on the rear window! that is very hard to do. more pics info if you're really interested. never had the time to do a "look at my del sol roll cage" post that many sol owners have posted.
