I have a 2002 civic ex 1.7. And it just turned 40,000 miles and the maintenance required light came on.

I assume that this is a reminder for a tune up? or an oil change? I changed the oil about 100 miles ago...

How can I turn the light off? reset the battery?

 

it's just a reminder. check yer manual how to reset it. most likely involves holding down the trip odo reset.

 

it reminds you to change the oil and etc. just hold the odometer button down and turn the key to the on position.
