well, my roomate and friends were right...sooner or later i was going to get scammed on H-T. and i owe it all to mintegra97...and his sweet CTR tranny.

about a month ago i started conversation with this guy about buying his CTR tranny that he continually told me was ligit. so after much consideration, i decided to paypal him the money, and then it took him three weeks just to get to me...it wasn't even out of the car yet. bullshit was bullshit, and when the box finally arrived, it was covered in fluids, still draining, a bent shift linkage...not to mention the fact that it was a cable tranny.

after calling and trying to solve this without making a big deal, well, he doesn't get that chance, I HATE THIS GUY AND HE CAN **** OFF AND DIE!!!

mintegra97 took $1100.00 from me and the dream of building the car i wanted (being that i cannot afford another lsd type-r tranny).

i just want to thank the people that have really helped, because they usually go unoticed...

and death to all who scam us hard working people out of our money!!!

I purchased a JDM S1 a year ago. Turned out to be a USDM S1 with the same gears as my current tranny...not to mention 3rd was blown out. Never got my money out of the f#cker. Its ok though...his address is sitting in a nice, dark and quiet place... :evil laugh:

for a last resort you can contact your credit car company or even a check card tell them what happen. they will need you to ship the tranny back to him and have proof you did. and when you do ship it back to him your credit card company will refund you fully of course you will lose out on shipping but it shouldnt cost more then 60 for shipping better then 1100....but of course this is a last resort i to got scammed for a tranny.

I've only been scammed on stuff less than $100, and I was pretty pissed. I can imagine how pissed you are right now; about 10 times more than I was. I hope you get your money back or the tranny you need. Find out where he lives, and if he's near me....... My friends and I can persuade him. I hate scammers. I work so hard for my money, and they should, too.

He has NO INTENTION OF SCAMMING ANYONE .... he bought the car fully built and turbo and was under the impression that it had a CTR tranny....

I'm sure he will refund you money.... He is a legit person ..... We all ******* hate scammers and chris is not one for sure....

I'll call him & let him know about this thread and see whats up...

I hope man. Alot of times we see peopel come to vouch for suspected scammers but nothing ever gets done. I can see how someoen may have this mix up. I mean if you take somone elses word that it is a CTR tranny and you dont know, it could happen. But then you should do what you can to make it right. I remeber when I bought my first honda it was a Prelude. I did all kinds of checks on models and enignes and thougth that base models came with h23's. Well the head was DOHC VTEC while the block was H23. I didn't know the difference until later and it ended up being a fucked up H23/VTEC project and no one from ther dealer told and they knew. So I can see both sides. Good luck to all involved.

$1100 is ALOT of money to just suck up. I agree on your other points. I think I could suck up a couple hundred but thats it
