Does the Eclipse Indash unit have a seperate hide away brain or is it all inside the main unit. Also is there a way to bypass the safety feature in order to view video while the vehicle is in motion? LMK

Yes and Yes, The Brain has a cord that connects it to the Deck, It's fairly long so you can mount it just about anywhere, the way it was setup in my car it was mounted under the Driver seat and had plenty of room. You can Bypass the saefty by Grounding the "Safety" wire to the chassis instead of connecting it to the parking brake.

Hmm I'll check with my brother, he got them for his civic but decided he didn't want to bother with the retrofit, he said it was from a 5 series, could have been wrong.

 

Damn the retrofit looks tempting.
