suspension setup swaybar tiebar combo opinions suggestions EG hatch
i'm looking for a swaybar tiebar combo setup, but wanted to know what peoples opinions are on the two I'm looking at.
I have a EG hatch with H22 ....D2 coilovers & Omni LCA's
I'm looking at Suspension Techniques swaybar/tiebar combo & the SRR combo.
They look very similar both with the reinforcement backing plate.
Just wanted to get some feedback on these two setup?
i know there are a couple others that people like....comptech, beaks,etc...
but these two are in my price range.
i also read that some people were still tearing the subframe with these combo setup that have the reinforcement plate?? that seems wierd to me.
but i have pretty stiff springs on my D2 500k/400K which also have 36pt dampening adjustability so i don't think it should stress it out too bad
let me know wht you guys think....

try the comptech 22mm swaybar tie bar combo.. never heard anything bad about it. we just picked three of them up (thanks nate @ comptech) and we will be putting them on our eg's. ill let u know how it turns out.
i'm not trying to spend $400...i'm on a budget right now trying to get this EG on the road for spring.
im sure any of the other setups are good. the ST setup is $300. that might be a better solution for you
yeah i can get the ST setup for around $300shipped...but i can get the SRR combo setup for about $100 cheaper then the ST.
i'm kinda leaning towards the SRR....and saving $100 to put towards my exhaust.
i guess if i end up not liking it I can sell it & get the ST or comptech.

i had the SRR it worked ok but the endlink kept on snaping and coming undone. Many others have looked at the design and said that its a binding crap hole of a mess. Now my endlink repeaditly snapping leads me to belive this. I never notived any funky stuff in handeling but always fixing the endlink fuckn sucked. I sold it and got the comptech peace.
If your on a budget just get the GSR bar and endlink, it wont require any subframe reinforcement and you can get them for under 100 bucks

yeah but...you have to worry about tearing the subframe...thats why you want a reinforcement plate like a-spec-racing, comptech, suspension technique, beaks, etc...

i don't think you have to be auto xing....
normal spirited daily drving can do it too if the sway bars is stiff enough.
from what i've seen, read, & talked to people about...this is my conclusion.
on a civic if you go with a itr or stiffer sway bar you take a risk of tearing the subframe if its not reinforced.
if you stay below a 19mm or get a gsr (14mm i think) you should be fine.
other cars have the same problem...my svt contour has a 18mm on it & you can upgrade to a 19, 22, or 23 & the 22&23's have been tearing subframes.
i was gonna get a 19 but why bother to just go up 1mm.
my wifes suzuki aerio sx has a 14mm stock bar & progress makes a 19mm but i heard that originally they were gonna go bigger but it risked causing problems so they settled on 19mm...
