Rear trailing arm
A year ago I slid into a curb in my 94 Intgra and had to replace a trailing arm. I replaced it with a used one I got at a place in Ft. Collins, CO that deals exclusively in used Honda parts. It bolted on just fine with no problems.
Tonight I was merrily wrenching away at my rear suspension replacing my POS worn out rear trailing arm bushings with new prothane ones
. When I got to the secound trailing arm i went to pound the new bushing in, and it fell right through the hole left by the old bushing
. This trailing arm is obviously different from the other one
.
I was wondering if you guys could help me figure out what car this trailing arm originally came off of so I could get a bushing that fits. Distinguishing characteristics are; it says DS in big capital white letters at the very front of the trailing arm, the lips on the top and bottom of the arm in front of the bushing hole are larger than the one already on the car. Also, when I bought the arm, the shop had just unbolted the whole thing from the original car including the upper, lower, and compensator arms. The upper arm and compensator arm seem to be the same as the ones originally on the car, but the lower arm is straight and does not have that little s bend in it, also the shock bushing is a little off (closer to the car if I remember right) from the arm that is on the car, though they are the same length.
One final thing of note. I am posotive that I pounded the old bushing out the right way and the hole is not larger because I distorted the arm by poundidng the bushing out the wrong way. Sorry to have written a nove, but any help is immensely appreciated on this very frustrating matter, TIA.
