which one do you guys think would be more reliable? i'm looking for a good flowing muffler without a lot of sound. thanks.

 

es oval, not only it it more respected than the magna your gonna get a better tone out if the es, the magnas are very tranggy....go with the es, and paint it black,...

<FONT COLOR="blue">i have a magnaflow its just as stealthy and it sounds really nice. of course mines sounds like a trust because i am using trust piping with a trust resonator. i was gonna get a ES but i didn't wanna wait for it to get shipped out to me. IMO either mufflers are .

agree with above post, i have the ES oval and it sounds hella nice. looks like stock so cops dont really give me a hard time from the looks and way it sounds. and if you paint it black it would really look stealthy.

also whoever asked who makes them, there's a muffler shop from palmdale(i think) called East Side Muffler ala ES oval). im not sure if they make them in house but they are the ones that sell them. got mine from sheng-jdmhondaparts.com, he had them on sale awhile back for 89 bucks...

 

what size is the outlet or end part?

My friend picked up an ES muffler, and I also got an ES muffler (not on yet), but both are 2.5" inlet/outlet. We're using them on our H22A Civics... he already has his on his car. With no cat, LONG 30" glasspak resonator, and the ES muffler, the car sounds very quiet and very clean... no buzzing like mine (with a 2000 Si muffler... same piping and resonator). I'm going to throw the ES on when I'm not lazy... it's clean looking, a little skinny for my tastes but painted black it looks good.

BTW, we got the ES mufflers for $45 each (through a local shop, where my friend does some work at). Anything over $80 for the ES muffler is way too much.

 

who makes a good resonator? I was looking for one a while back and the 2.5 only represented the inlet outlet size the inner diameter was only 1.75 which is a major bottleneck. Who makes a straight through 2.5?
