Default omnipower vs. d2 full coilovers.

as the title states. http://www.omnipowerusa.com
http://www.speedstash.com/d2ra....html
Im gonna guess that not many people have much experiance w/d2 being that they are a small company out of japan just starting to be popular here.... but take a look at both sites and give me some feedback..... want to know what others would do.

I esspecially like the way the "D2" company ripped off the German Cell Phone Company "D2 Mannesmann" Logo. This is how "D2" is making it seem like they have a huge racing history.

What a bunch of "A" Holes.

Speaking of which if you look on their website
http://www.d2racing.com.tw

In the components section you will see this picture for their motor oil.

I do rember people saying that on Modacar's Civic they liked the omnipowers over the D2's

its pretty clear this company has nothing to do with japan or japanese motorsports. its not "JDM" if thats worth anything. just saying so because it seems like you thought otherwise.

This has something to do with Cell Phone Games...

This is a Cell Phone Network...

Mabey I'll send some e-mails to D2 Racing and Vodaphone D2, and see what happens...

Looks like the Nissan guys have been using D2 for a bit, you might check out some of their forums for opinions, though I don't know how much of a comparison can be made between their nissan stuff and omnipower's honda stuff.

I'm on the same case. I've searched on both, but i'll go for the d2 because they are damper adjustable. I just dunno if i should go for the integra F-15k R-9K or civic F-11k R-7k spring rate setup.

I have a set of d2's fitted to my itr only have them on about 2 weeks and i find them great i went for 13kg at the front and 9kg at the back so they are not too harsh for street. I went for them as i could get them for a good price plus they come with alliminium top mounts so there is no need to use your old ones. They were straight forward enough to install. i am very happy with them anyway i ahve no pics of the car at present but when i do i will post them.

The BC 3+ cams are pretty cheap too.but those don't seem to be a cheap product...

As for the D2's.....

Had them on my Civic since November and they are freaking phenominal. Mind you though, I didn't pay anywhere near 800 bucks, but that was only because of good friends. Would I do it again for my Civic? Yes.

If I were to build up a project car from a beater, would I invest in them? Probably not...If I were to pick up a used hatch, I would probably buy a set of Skunk2 full coilovers or the Omni full coilovers. Anyways, both the Omni power and the D2's are fairly competitively priced, can't go wrong with the D2's flexibility.

BTW, I have the BC3+'s also, and I'm FREAKING LOVING THEM! Running them on a P73 ecu right now though, waiting to get my P28 ECU socketed and Hondata S100 tuned

yeah my friend with a 20 has them, and he races and autocrosses quite a bit, other than being overly hard for their performance he says their decent, but really not worth the money, hes actually going to be selling them soon for a better pair.

Hmmm...something looks awfully familiar on Speedstash's website...
They should have let me know at least...makes them look like a knock off company and can't source their own pics...rofl

Pic on their website:

Pic of my Camry:

Anyway, quality is definitely up there... But I went with Omni's on my Integra because of the attractive price tag. If I were to choose a coilover for a Honda, I would get the Omni's instead.

But why? If you like think they are good, and the d2's have more adjustability. for a little bit more money? (i dont know how much they are for a camry but for a eg/dc chassis they were only 800 bucks. thats only a 100 bucks more than omni.)

Omni's were $649 shipped... D2's have to add shipping on top of their price ($800 + shipping). It's almost $200 more, which is a good amount! But still, it's a hard choice because I never noticed the D2's were pretty cheap as well.

It's just that the Omni's I have in my Teg right now rides very very nice, and I cannot believe how well it is matched for the streets. I don't see the need to spend any more money over the Omni's if you want the perfect street suspension.
