Broken LCA bolt, Omnipower LCA swap w/ PICS!
So I had the whole broken LCA bolt.....both sides rear. Got pissed, then I got Omnipower! I read all about people having this same problem, so didnt feel alone. Love the new LCA's, my only problem with them is that there is no place to mount the ABS metal casing like on the stock ones. Enjoy the pics!
KYB AGX, TEIN S-TECH, OMNIPOWER REAR LCA
Breaker Bar'ed the welded nut on the stock shock, Siezed bolt.

Other side, showing how the bolt broke in the bushing.

About 10 seconds with a ryobi recipricating saw, and milwakee "the torch" blade.

When you dont have a spring compressor, hog-tie the shock with a towel, turn head.

The other bolts didnt hassle me. Those abs bracket bolts were tough for little 10mm.

Old vs. New. New honda hardware and some PB blaster. Note the difference where the sway bar mounts.

closeup of LCA's, ******* siezed bushing. Like the star, even though its covered when installed.

got it mounted, shock installed.

Connected the sway bar. (you'll need a nut and lockwasher)

Done with one side, let the car down...time to do the other side!

Done! oooh looks nice!

Slanted tuner mag shot. haha

The new bling.

tanabe hyper medallion shooting exhaust at me.

Dad's lexus, honda integra
, and 4-dr ls for when the teg is down.

GSR blades, w/ SI centercaps.

once I had the recipricating saw purchased and the other bolts didnt seize, it took me about 45 mins a side. I'm lucky that I sprayed the **** out of the other bolts, they put up very little resistance before they started to back out. The suspension is so simple on these honda/acuras. I used to think it would be such a task to put rear discs on a civic. Thanks for the feedback!

Isn't it also true that the omnipower LCA's don't even save any weight over the stock units, unlike the SRR ones... ? I heard this somewehre online

How the hell do you make a correlation between a star and being emo?

Very nice! I broke the same bolt when doing my suspension, it was a helluva time getting it out but we finally did. The LCAs are nice though, how much did they run you?
I got them through robear racing. 109 with free shipping. Although I called them up and had them rush them to me because i can only work on my car during the weekend. Real nice guys, always answer the phone.

Looks good!
Hoping to do this install, along with some of their coilovers very soon!
How was the fitment?
I'm concerned with how you ran your lines under your shocks...

the fit was perfect, a direct replacement. The abs lines run undernieth the shock on the factory control arm.
I didnt get the bolts out of the other control arms, I just cut the bolts off and chucked the arms.
I had to put a jack stand under the arm and lower the car onto the stand to get the rear sway bar to bolt up, but it was simple.
also, the lip is carbon fiber. It's an ITR replica lip. I got it from brian wong aka b18c1_powered_si . Really good seller and has quality parts. The lip was from japan.

What are the bushings on the omnipower made of? Urethane or rubber? Can they be replaced when they wear out? My LACA's bushings have taken a dump on me and squeak like *****. I figure I will replace the LCA along with suspension at the same time. Thanks!
