Recently it has been brought to my attention that this forum has been lacking lately. People still post in all caps, have vague titles, and make posts that are non-tech related. I've been out of town recently and my cable internet has been down for about 2 weeks now. So because of that I have not been able to moderate the forum like I once used to. Dial-up is no fun for those of you still in the stone age.

Now that Joel has resigned, Nick M has been reappointed moderator in this forum. Corey is still an active moderator as well for those of you wondering. We are aiming to get rid of all the miscellaneous bullshit that seems to surface about 20 times a day. There will be ZERO warnings given out, so if you treasure your % level please read the rules like you are supposed to at:

As moderators we do not get paid and there are no perks to our job... we do it to share our knowlege with you guys and because we take pride in this board. We have 2 others. It does not take a million mods to run a forum... it takes members to help out as well.

Frankly, im new to these forums, and without posting one thing (this being my first) have just read through this post to find exacly what you are trying to rid/ban. this topic started off with complience to 'new' or reminding others of their conduct within this forum, to find swearing, sarcasim toward a moderator, which mind you went without warning or acknolegement of misbehavior, i think you will find that this will continue regurdless of what rules you are trying to withhold in theses fourms. But why would you listen to the '05' recruit, what would he know, him being a nutural observer and all.

Also, these forums look good, good people and all, but can you see my angle? i mean... your staring it right in the face and looking past it, this thread has just been spammed with numerous random comments and swearing, i will do my bit to help these forums along, but action neds to be taken on this thread to do so.

i understand you as being new....in the past week there have been numerous locked threads because of new members asking questions like, "what is the difference between an h22 and an h23" that is quoted. i have only been here about 3 months, and it does get irritating telling people all the time to use the search button......there is so much info in the archived threads it would make your head spin.

I speak with the majority of these guys often. Sarcasism was acknowleged then accompanied by a moderate to light chuckle.

Think what you want... but tough love and flaming definetely changes the mood of a forum. So does docking and banning members for stupidity.
