Default Hotel info for VIR (NASA)

Hey guys, Chris asked me to post this, since he is away with business

NASA has group rates at both Innkeepers and Holiday Inn Express in Danville..

Holiday Inn Express is closer to the track, but it cost more ($5?)
Innkeeper West is where we stayed for speedtrial right? If so, I am probably just going to stay there again, it will be under 45$.

Just call and book a room and make sure to mention NASA group rate..
I will post again with final cost as soon as I know for sure..

Here is the info for Innkeeper WestInnkeeper West
3020 Riverside Drive (Rte 58)
Danville VA

Such as....

I seem to remember being entertained at the Holiday Inn Express when I was in the jacuzzi bath tub with my girlfriend, sharing the champagne that I won....

Guys, I believe there is something going on in the form of a white water rafting weekend at the same time - might want to get on the phone and do some dialing. As memory serves, there were no doubles left at HIE and everyone knows I am all about the HIE and its sidekick Biscuitville

Uhm, do any of these have room for a truck and open trailer? I had a miserable time the first night trying to park @ the Innkeeper, dunno which one. I got stuck in the back for a while and had less than a foot of clearance on both sides in the middle of a turn. That sounds like a lot, but just you wait til YOU start towing. Car on one side and a concrete post on another.

I am hoping we'll be able to drop off cars at VIR on Friday evening. Corey, can you find this out from Chris?

Booked my room. (Inkeeper West) Had to use Orbitz, as the oh-so-not-really-helpful lady answering the phones didn't feel like booking anything, so she claimed that there were no available rooms. When pressed about a NASA reserved block of rooms, "oh, you better call back tomorrow to talk to someone then"

As of yesterday afternoon, HI Express was full on that weekend. No rooms. Zip, zero, nada.

Very few rooms left at the HoJo

Hampton Inn had one room. Jacuzzi Suite. $170/night. I'm partying with whoever gets this room.

InnKeeper West is filling fast. Don't wait around on this one.

As mentioned above, there is some sort of whitewater rafting thingy in Danville that weekend. It's ugly room wise.

I think Pest or someone got a jacuzzi room at the Innkeeper last time. Mine didn't even have a microwave or fridge... hopefully these are "wild sorority rafters" as opposed to "golden years rafters" or "dueling banjo rafters"...

The race director, registrar, and pace car will be there at 5pm.

This is what time they opened for us last year. There actually may be an event there on Friday, in which case, they may let you in earlier. Not sure on that one.

We can also tech our own cars right? This is what I was told. I do all my work on my own car anyway.
