I thought about putting this in the Appearance forum, but I figured this is slightly technical, and it only really applies to EF people anyway.

I took the cup-holders out of a 96 LS integra and custom mounted them in my CRX console. I removed the ashtray and cig lighter with my dremel, sanded everything down, mounted the cup-holders, and gave the whole thing a coat of black paint. I used plastic epoxy to glue it in place, and also some zip-ties for extra strength, which I also glued in place. It's very sturdy. I think it looks pretty stock, which is what I was going for.

I actually did this a while ago, but I was looking through my old videos, saw this, and thought you guys might enjoy it.

 

looks nice... i have an integra sitting in the garage and was looking at the cup holders the other night try to figure out a way to retro fit it in my console... might be a project i look into further now.

 

nice! looks pretty damn stock! i wish i was handy with tools like that. id end up having to pay 100 dollars in labor to get that done.

its pretty dope! i was like. thas not a crx center console then i read and figured out what you did! I bought a cup holder from a 90 sentra ser which looks the same and was planning on doing the same thing but using the emply space aboce the cig lighter and ashtray. but i like ur idea better so i'm gonna steal it and do it this summer! oh yeah.. u get up from me !

hmm,i have a whole gsr center consol in my car and love it, arm rest and cup holders can beat that,although i lost the ashtray so my floor is the new one for the time being

i have 99 integ cup holder too! i didnt know how i would install it, but your is awesome! too bad the ashtray has to go! i dont smoke i probably do the same mod like what you did too!
