whats better coilovers or hydrolics
Are you serious!?!?!?
Coilovers......Ground control (if you want a manufactuer)
Hydros are too much maint and add so much weight let alone all the spare batteries you will need and what happens if you have the front up and the back down and you run out of power????
Come on man!!!

i dont want to be hitting the switchs im talking about clearance her man say i go coilovers i got to worry about getting over things with out scraping the car if u just go a simple hydro set so i can rise the car when i need to up a down none of this two wheel or any thing just simple that what i want to know would be better.
Do you mean hydraulics? i would highly recommend NOT getting these. If you are serious in looking into an adjustable suspension setup, get air cylinders. Blow Jax makes a set that will work on your car. Contact GodFathers Customs, they have a website that you can find on yahoo.
Hydraulics ride like ***. If you want a hydraulic suspension that has decent ride, you will need a 2 pump 4 dump setup with accumulators. You will also have to make custom mounting brackets. After you finish with pumps and the batteries, you will have NO space left in the trunk. With an airride setup, you can get a small tank and compressor that are all in one. This will only take up about half of the space in your trunk. Plus, the ride on air is much smoother than the ride on fluid. Air compresses, fluid does not. That is where the accumulators come in. However, even with accumulators, you will get a horrible ride. Air will still ride rough, but they are now making an airride accumulator that wil give you a much better ride. However, you will have some sway in the body.

If you slam your car so far to the ground that it needs to raise over stuff, get coilovers, that way maybe your car will scrape in half for you being so dumb for lowering that much in the first place...

yeah what would be better to go with hydrolics or coilover on a 96 del sol
get the damn hydro's .. are you from so cali? goto MIC (master image customs) get some hydro's on your car ( lifetime warranty) and then everytime you see a speed bump. lift it go over then lower it...
and then if you arent in so cali but are going to MIC stop by lexani and get some 19 inch lexani rimsthen make sure you goto crenshaw blvd. on a friday night and test out your new car
Blowjacks would be a better choice then hydrolics, you can get a simple up / down kit, but remember, that huge fu*kin compressor in the back of your car is gonna slow your *** down, but hey if you don't really care about speed, then go for it, it'd be kinda cool.
Hereis a tip spunkmonkey - don't excessively lower your car. If it is a decent height then you won't hit . 1-2" good - 3"+ bad.
Hydros are gay.

I understand that some of you do not like his style, but why does that make you all better then him for asking a question. Grow up.
I think you've seen that you've stumbled across a board that isn't very "show" friendly. Honestly, I think you'll find that noone with coilovers EVER adjusts them. They buy then, set them the first time and are done.
If you're really not considering hydraulics/airbags for show, then you shouldn't be considering them... They are 100% for show. It's kinda like saying I'm gonna put two 15's in the trunk with a 1500watt amp, but I can't listen to loud music.
If you really want the huge drop, you'll learn to do what others do... avoid the large drops, and quit eating at that one particular fast food place. If you settle for a reasonable setting, you won't have to worry about it.
