Got bored at work today and did the rear wiper delete on my 01 LS, heres a short write up for anyone who is interested.....
Sorry bout the small pics, they were taken with my phone, but you still get the idea
Start by removing the rear plastic covers on the hatch lid.......The sides first, remove these by lightly pulling them off from either the top or bottom....

Then after you have removed BOTH sides, (you did remove both right?) Pull off the "main" hatch cover by pulling all the clips loose from the latch outward....working your way towards the 3rd brake light

After getting all the plastic removed, give yourself a pat on the back for not breaking any clips
and locate the wiper motor, (its the big silver thing on the right) remove the three 10mm/phillips bolts going vertical ONLY, in this pic they are the two black ones toward the rear, and the gold one by the main harness

Next, simply unplug the harness for the motor

Next, gently close the hatch and head for the wiper, remove this bolt cover that conceals the 13mm bolt that holds the wiper arm on, its a bitch. I suggest a small flatblade or a 90 degree pic if you have it

Now just remove this 13mil and pull the wiper arm vertical and remove it

Now, remove the rubber cover/gasket and GENTLY remove the 24mm

With the 24 mil removed you can now pull off the remainding rubber and now completly remove the motor and shaft....I said shaft, he he.

Now, you'll have a hole with a rubber bushing in it, this thing is a bastard to remove but work that thing like a full time job and it will come out. Just push it through the hole into the hatch area.

Now simply install your firewall grommet plug from your teg or any 92-5 civic, I opted to put a small amount of clear caulking just to help seal it in and prevent leaks

And there she is!!! All done and purrdy!!!!

If I missed any steps lemme know, or I.M. me with any questions!

Thanks guy's, this is my first "how to" so I was hoping I wouldnt get flamed too much. I took alot of time deciding if I wanted to do this "mod" or not. At first I remember thinking to myself "why in the hell would you want to remove your rear wiper?" and after really paying attention to how few times I actually used it I went ahead with the swap. No that I have done it I cant imagine it any other way, the cleanliness it gives the rear of your car is awesome!!!

The rubber grommet is the grommet filler from the hole in the firewall to the right of the battery under the fuel filter on the 94-01 Tegs and 92-5 civic's. I have my powerwire ran through mine, but got one out of a civic at a salvage yard for free!!!

i know i had some trouble actually removing the wiper arm. i took all caution, but if anyone has any tips to gently pry on it. some people think that there are problems with their wiper arm. as long as you do all the steps listed ... its just stuck. be careful. i dont wanna hear about someone having to buy a new window, that would suck.
If you're having problems removing the wiper arm, after removing the the black plastic cover and the first nut, stand the wiper up first- the wiper blade should not be touching the glass. It should be sticking up in the air. Then, rock it side to side while pulling up... it is so much harder to remove it if the wiper blade is still on the glass.
Here's another alternative to the rubber grommet:

pics of it on an RSX:

I make these... it won't blow out and it cannot be pulled off from the outside (stolen).
