Default wouldn't start then it ......d16z6

why ?

ok last night she ran fine, no troubles ever. I go to start it this morning and alls it does is cranks, never turning over, not even a glimer of hope. has plenty of gas and the fuel rail is getting gas. plugs look ok.

what or how can i tell if the distributor is sparking or if i need a new one.
where do i look for more things on why it wont start , where do i go from here?

any help will be greatly apprecated..... thanks

Try to let th pump prime few times before you crank the car...

I always do it when it is cold...

I usualy let the pump prime 3 times before I start the car...

And yes, I forgot to tell you...

DO NOT APPLY GAS when starting...

Just prime 3-4 times and start the car without pushing the gas pedal... it should start without problem...

Sounds like igniter to me since they don't give too much of a sign when they go out plus you said you had a lot of smoke which probably means there was a lot of fuel in the chambers=fuel is working, but no spark.

Next time take a plug out, keep it hooked up to the wire and put it close to metal and start it, if you see a spark, you have spark, if you don't, no spark= your problem. HTH
