I've noticed this too.

I am forced to sell #551 due to high insurance rates. Why is everybody else offloading their ITRs?

REAL QUESTION IS:
Is anybody buying these cars for what sellers are looking for? I check out most of posts, but so far I haven't seen anything that in realm of reasonably priced. Everybody seems to want top dollar for their modifiied ITRs. All I'm looking for is stock ITR to modify myself. In my opinion, modifications would lower value of car since it's no longer factory. As buyer, we have no idea on what quality of workmanship is.

flame me, I luv the ITR's but for some reason ITR's owners are just too stuck up when it comes to selling their ITR's..
IMO, you'll be lucky to get a book value after you started to mod it..
but again, no pun intended...

there is no blue book value for any itr. there wasn't enough made. just some fyi. i think the line should be drawn at 20k and nothing lower. but then again i own one.

That's funny... I think anything over 20 is too much.
How many times have you seen someone pop up with 65-70k miles on one and want 18-19k for it.
"Oh, it's stock and they're all highway miles"... MY ***, they're probably all track miles and you're lucky if they got the wiring pieced back together when they ripped out all their bolt-ons, VAFC's and the like...
Everyone buys an ITR to drive back and forth to work 70 miles each way. Bet they never broke the speed limit either. These cars have been ridden hard... and if they haven't they should have been.

I sense all sorts of hate in this thread.
WTF is wrong with you people. 99% of ITR owners I know paid sticker (ie MSRP for you slow ones) for their ITR. One of my friends is selling his '00 FBP ITR w/only 9400 miles on it and he's *asking* $22,500. If you think that's overpriced, you're crazy. If you consider how rare this car is, you would understand.

i personally would love to have an itr, but for now, my gsr will have to do... I guess ppl wanna sell their itr's just because its almost like a phase. I've talked to a few previous itr owners, and they end up selling their cars because over time, they got sick of the high reving 247, recieving multiple tickets, and they want to move up in this world with a more luxorious car. Having an itr, nsx, ctr, s2000 (or whatever your preference is) is the last step/or the accomplished step of being in the import scene. I know the last or next sports car i'm going to buy is gonna be an itr, ctr, nsx, s2000..but i know that will be a phase in life for me...
but seriously, a lot of people are being unreasonable with the price theyre asking for their R's

I`ve priced mine according to the market rate. I originally had it priced at $23,500 but after looking around I decided that was too high for the current market. Some are going for more than that and some are going for a LITTLE less or the same amount. If people consider my car "modded" they are freaking just plain stupid. A JDM front end or a s/c, lowered suspension, or complete exhaust work is modded.
I have alot of interest (even at $23,500) but the problem it seems is that the car is geared towards the teen crowd and to them $22,500 is alot of money. Then there are the kids that freak when they think an ITR is priced too high - I suppose they get kinda upset that they STILL can`t afford even a used one. Oh well.
umm.. I think of my R as my undeRwear... I know that maybe some people want to steal my undeRwear(some psycho might, right?) but I never really think of selling my undeRwear to anyone.. so I think a forum to Sell undeRwear is not necessary..
and about modding.. hm.. yeah if you want a stock R, you should buy it brand new from the dealer.. don't blame owners who mods..

My girlfriend is selling the 98 ITR she bought 5 mos ago and never learned how to drive a standard. It has a JDM front end, CF hood, AEM CAI, and a older alpine CD. It also has 44,8xx on it. She get her IS300 today and is wanting $18,750 for the ITR. Email Josh22memphis@aol.com

I agree that there should be an ITR forsale forum though.

When I called the dealership I bought my ITR from and they buy it back for 22+ grand..which I know they sell it for more. I'm sure a 00' model number 81 out 1000+ made that yr plus close to stock and all the parts on the car are OEM Japan or UK honda. I only have barely over 6k over my ITR and it's only been tracked twice both in SCCA driving courses. I've been told 24 grand over and over again for my car. So I will probably let it go for that. But most when they see it they only look at my black japanese OEM recaros and Tein RA's both items that would be worth around 5 grand. Around here I've seen yellow ITR sell for around 25 grand and it had 15k on it! I bought mine straight up with cash and trade in. Though I plan to sell mine to pay off a debt quicker and regain some interest on it and probably buy a Subaru WRX STi once it comes out because I need something abit bigger.
