what does your motor consist of?

 

well phantom grip is coming out with the Extreme units which are a lot better than their old ones.

 

I've talked to people with the phantom grip and haven't had a problem. Don't know about the obx, though.

 

i know people with both and neither of them have had probs. they just seem to like the OBX more!

 

it sounds like they are made in the same backyard

 

well i got a b16 with all the bolt ons and im about to start in the motor .so i think im going to get lsd and a light fly wheel. i also have a 55 wet shot.im looking to build it up so i thought that would be the best route to start

 

i have hurd that obx is compared to quaife...An quaife is balla balla...lol

but its half the price of the Quaiffe, but you have to inspect it before install for corrrect torquing of nuts and bolts.

 

Kaaz or Quaife........I don't think the OBX will hold..........But I'll find out this summer.

Honestly your best bet is a quiafe but i know that their so much $$$ a lot of people dont wanna spend that much money on an LSD
Ive heard a lot fo good things about the OBX though
One thing i like is that its guatenteed for life which is one of my favorite features about the quiafe
And i beleive theres a member here with i think like a 400-500whp civic with an OBX lsd with no problems ever and hes done lots of 1/4 mile runs and drives the car daily and beats the **** out of the car with no problems

i might be getting an obx unit i realy don't like the idea of a phantom grip but if any one want to try it i have spare gsr diff i might get rid of

i remember when the OBX name was just stupid **** like replica wheels and ugly shift ***** and lighted bullshit.. but they are making lots of actual engine/tranny parts.. and i have to say it don't look that bad.. not sure how strong or what type of lifespan you can expect outta their product, but it might be ok..

Phantom Grip on the other hand.. ****.. this really is only good for drag racing.. and not the greatest for that.. don't waste your time or money..

the OBX version looks just like the Quaife.. But does it work like one, and stand up to the abuse that Quaife can.. if so, then thats a bargain

 

my obx lsd has not let me down yet..and I have beat the living **** outta it..

I just had my tranny apart for a final drive change and took the diff apart and it looked like it was still brand new after about 50 pass's and a year of daily driving..

 

is there a break time for the obx or put in and give it hell

 

obx does offer a lifetime warranty with the lsd against anyting.

 

WOW!!! they offer lifetime warranties against anything? dayam... so do you use a stock honda speedo gear with it, or does it come with one??
