Yes, another sunroof question (Grumpy)
I have a metal sunroof in the car, but I really would like to not put any holes in the outside of the sunroof, seeing that I could sell it once I get the hole filled in the roof once I get some money.. That will be later in the season though..
Here is a pic of how the sunroof is bolted in from the factory, this pic is of the passenger side.
What I would like to do is pop rivit some aluminum straps on the inside of the car, from the leading edge of the roof, accross the sunroof track and rivited into the sunroof frame. Kinda like this.. Where my index finder is is the sunroof, and my thumb is holding the strap to the front side of the roof, and that is where I would put the rivits..
If this would work, it would be great, if not, I understand, and I will just have to put clips on the outside of the sunroof..
Anyone else have any ideas?

Option 1 - remove sunroof completely. Must drive with arm restraints.
Option 2 - run aluminum straps over top of sunroof bolted into car. Sunroof remains intact.
If neither of these is good for you, I will think harder.

I like option 2, but only if I could do it on the inside of the car... I think I can do option 2, and just have the bolt holes filled and painted once I get the sunroof hole filled..
I can do option 1 as well, if it nice weather.. I'll think harder as well.. OOOOHHHH, I got an Idea
Look at my second pic, but unstead, I feed the aluminum strap to the outside of the sunroof, go over the top, then feed it back inside the car to bolt it? So I don't have to actually put holes on the outside.. Will that work?

Virtual tech
A NASA exclusive........
Will the bars go under the weatherstripping??? Why can't you put holes in the roof of the car, leaving the sunroof intact.?
I am most concerned that the roof not depart the car. Since I get upset about flying magnetic numbers, I REALLY GET UPSET about flying sunroofs.

Its just the Idea of putting holes in areas where people can see them is what I don't like.. You know, I still need my car to look ok, for several reasons..
Tomorrow, I'll do what I was thinking, and I'll take some pics, if that won't work, then, I'll just have to do it your way
