Default WTB: CRX HF front sway bar

I'm after the front sway from an 88-91 CRX HF. The tubular 17.3mm bar please. If you have the bushings as well, that would be a plus.

I too might be interested as well if a second one is offered up after Jaker gets one. I have thought about trying one for awhile.

Bushings are very cheap from the dealer. And yes, I'd like to buy one as well.

why not just buy it from the dealer? its really not that expensive, $85 for a NEW bar.

I suspect the market for the HF front sway bar is pretty small considering that anything bigger than the HF bar is considered an "upgrade." I know the reason you guys want to try it and I suspect there are enough bars sitting in garages and junk yards to fill that need. I have two Si bars sitting in my tool shed because they don't fit in my garbage can. I'm guessing there are plenty of HF bars in the same position that could be had for much less than $80.

heh. yeah, like my garage... but im not gonna sell the only HF bar i have ever found

HF's are as rare as Si's in the junkyard.

im just saying if you really want one, theyre available for a reasonable cost.

I have perused the Majestic website, but like Travis said, I'm hoping someone has one sitting in a deep dark corner of their garage, just waiting for me to get it out of their way.

I have an HF front swaybar hiding in the corner of my garage. It has the D-brackets with those bushings, but I'm keeping my endlinks for my Si bar. My car is currently being returned to a some-what stock condition for daily driving.

Feel free to PM if interested.

Jaker, you can have first shot at it, if you'd like. I've been looking for one for a while, though.

I got mine a year ago. I googled "used honda parts" then I took a couple of numbers and started calling. In a week it was at my house for @50 bucks.

Good luck!!!!

Thanks track rat, but its an autocross car. I'd just like to commend MattP for offering to step aside. That is a really big gesture. I don't think I'll stand in the way though.

Go for it Matt.

Agreed. Autox = front bar.

I like no front bar for auto-x. I'm still keeping my hf bar though. Its worth it as a spare for $50.

After talking with a friend who was an engineer for a sway bar company who had done some interesting testing, after years of no front bar I have been thinking for awhile (oh, about 5+ years) about trying an HF bar on the front of my road race car to see what effect it might have in tighter, low speed corners.

Just something to try with Turn 8 at Mid-Ohio being the specific corner I have in mind. Not really a priority for me so although I sent my IM, Jaker and Matt can have first dibs. If I stumble across an HF bar though I will pick it up and try it. I have an all Honda junkyard nearby me, maybe I need to check their stock.

If you do find them at the junk yard, could you look for 2? We never had the HF model here in Canada, so there are none in the yards.

8...is that the right hander where you hold your breath, brake while still straightening out while setting it up, then the exit falls away as you enter the back straight?

Well? What did he say exactly?

Scott, who can't imagine an engineer for a sway bar company saying you Don't need at least one sway bar on each end of the car, maybe even two if you race a VW....
