Tilton Ceremic clutch isnt very mighty!!
on my way to work today my car came out of 5th gear and wouldnt go in.
Torn the tranny down.. Low and behold two tilton disc totally stripped.
My car is only putting around 350whp. I thought tiltons were suppose to last?? What am I missing here?
Mine didnt last over 7000-8000 miles. Only 1 drag strip run. I never launched the car either.

i'd have to imagine the cheapest part of the whole clutch would be the discs. I mean, given all of the machining and design that went into the basket, etc.
Eh that sucks...noway in hell I can afford the carbon setup. Unfortunately I plan on running well over 350.
Come to think of it, how many people are actually running the ceramic? I always assume most people are talking about the carbons when they talk tilton.

Ceramic clutches are not made to be slipped, that is about the expected life expectancy of a ceramc clutch unfortunately. If tey genuinely were mostly highway miles that is fairly bad though. Action Clutch's
I cant imagine paying 1300 for a clutch that lasts only 9k miles. Post pics of the clutch, Maybe you broke it in or installed it wrong. We might be able to give you some input by the wear on it.
