I finally got a digital camera, so I'm now living in the 21st century. It only took my sister giving me her old camera as a Christmas present.
As promised so many months ago, here's some pictures of my 95 Civic EX Coupe, building to ITA specs.
The Car. $2400. Salvage title from a front ender. Still finding bits of broken windshield inside:

Interior's clean

The gussets are from the cage builder, who tried to get around the fact that he didn't weld the NASCAR bars all the way around (underneath near the frame rail). I know they're not really doing anything, so don't flame me. Had a friend re-weld everything properly.

I used the original beat-to-**** dashboard to test fit around the front cage bars, then made clean cuts on one I picked up on ebay. This is the beat-to-**** dash.

Rear shock tower braces

The saddle:

1.6 liters of VTEC fury (furry?)

Check out the blingin' header

Air ducts...

...go to the SBMS brake ducts w/ Autozone rotors.

And some cheap rubber. Kuhmo Victoracers from a friend of a friend who gets 'em for free. Only cost me $12 a tire for them, slightly used (one qualifying session on one set, and qualifying and a race on the other).

It's been a fun, if not aggravating-at-times build. The plan is to be ready for Cal Club's super School next month at Willow Springs.

on the build. Good luck.
PS, ditch the cruise control.

Thanks, guys.
I hadn't thought about ditching the cruise control. What all would I need to remove?

Looks good. Good looking brake ducts, I have always been jealous of the narrow radiator cars that have easy collection duct roon- unless they don't have enough radiator to cool properly. Also jealous of how much room is in that big coupe compared to the CRX. Big guys in caged CRXs can be a bit tight.

Looks good. I wish I would have completely torn down my car before I built it. I find myself going back and re-doing/removing things I should have done from the start.
Oh well I know for the next car I build...
-Danny who is still racing a show kaa!

That was the plan. Although, I'd like to add some sort of flair to it, but an all out repaint was not in the plans.
Maybe just some BAR stripes on the front fenders. Whaddya think?

How about the Honda touring car splash from the height of BTCC's Super Touring class? I've seen some rally Civics from Britian with similar liveries which I'll post when I find them.

I'll try to do a quick BAR stripe livery sketch if I have some free time.

Nothing serious.
I was planning on helping promote some friend's personal businesses, but they're just paying for the decals, and that's about it.
Figured I need to get some races under my belt before hitting anyone up for sponsorships.

The cage looks great. You might consider drilling the kill switch key and running a pull-cord over to the driver's seat. When am I going to see it in person?
would LOVE to see a $cost sheet for the rest of us interested in how much it would run us for the buildup. At some point i'm really wanting to run IT since DSR costs way too much even when I CAN afford to start racing. Anyway, the car, cage, suspension bits, etc. just the money it took to get it onto the track really is all im looking for....and what many others are probably looking for too.
racing isnt too bad....its the initial investment thats tough to come up with.

That's what I said until I made the initial investment only to discover I was standing on the tip of the ice berg.

I'll look into that.
If all goes according to plan, I may come out to Las Vegas with TCRA (Paul was talking about them). Other than that, I want to at least go to the NASA HPDE event at Willow Springs to cess out the car before going to SCCA school at WS end of February. If if all works out, maybe I'll come out to Arizona in March, when it seems the rest of you will have your H4's ready.
