Default Azenis RT-615 - 205/50-15 not until late '05?

After months of wondering if Vulcan Tire's claim about "first quarter '05" availability for the new RT-615 Azenis in 205/50-15 was true, I inquired with Falken. Here's the speedy reply I got:

> this size would be scheduled in the late part of this year.

That size rubs on my car... and the 205's are super wide... so "no"

Perfect.

Whatever!!! It's not as bad a Gran Turismo 4. Last I heard (from local game shop) it might not even come out till PS3.

Gawd, no new Azenis AND no GT4? Can't we have at least one of the two, dammit?

Jon
(who's still glad he didn't waste $50
pre-ordering GT4 at bestbuy in november)

GAWD! Game Stop was only $5 to pre-order. Been waiting since June.

Said they might wait till PSP comes out to release both GT4 for PS2 and GT4 for PSP all at once. Whatever.

There was another thread with posted sizes. There's like ah 14, 15 & 16 inch size and about fifty 17 & 18 inch sizes.

I almost splurged & bought that Logitech Steering wheel w/ 900 deg. rotation for GT4 since it was supposed to come out (a week from that date). I'm glad I didn't throw that $150 away...

I'm glad my current tires have a bit of tread left. I've been eyeing those 205-40-16's.

Damn, now I might just have to bite the bullet and get the first generation azenis. I wanted to wait but november is way to far down the road as the autox season starts in late Feb. here.

I highly doubt that there would be no 15" size tires when the azenis first comes out.

Kumho MX maybe? That's more than likely what I'll be switching to when my Azenis are gone...

Christian

edit: maybe Avon's new street tire? It's a little cheaper than the Kumho's...

GT4 will never be released... they'll finally have it "almost ready" in like July, only to realize that no one will buy it because the never ending delays killed any interest that anyone ever had in it.

I was anxious for it to come out back in 2003... now it's 2005 and I don't give a crap about it anymore.

that wont kill you..it will just hurt like hell..they proved it on mythbusters

every time they move the release date for GT4 i care less and less about the damn game..its probally not gonna be all that diffrent from past games anyways

i can wait for the RT-615's because i just picked up a set of the first gen azenis and they will last until the RT's come out

I believe later in the show they said something to the effect of 'oops, we were wrong, we had the decimal point in the wrong place', and that it could indeed kill you.
