Skunk2 Pro Series Coilovers:thumbup:
I installed my new Pro Series coilovers last night. I was running neuspeed race springs and factory struts before. The car rode ok but going over rough spots or big bumps it was kinda ridiculous, but the drop looked real clean. Well i wanted to try the new skunks out and see the difference and all i can say is wow! Even with my tires tucking (about a 3" drop) it rides really firm yet smooth. I cant believe the difference they made in ride quality and handling, plus they look good as well.
My friend had the Tokico RAK Illumina coilovers on his 00' si and he switched to these as well. You know its a quality product when you lower it .5 to 1'' more than you had it and get a smoother, firmer ride. Just thought i would share my experience with all of you since i am extremely happy with this new suspension.
I'll post some pics in the next few days.

No adjustable damping. I personnaly have no use for adj. damping anyway and they are valved correctly to match the spring rate.
Are these the new coilovers skunks makin?? cause I have the old ones and man are they rough as hell... Maybe it's because I live in pothole city. They feel good on even roads, but on bumpy one's I always feel like im gonna puke from the horrible ride quality...
Good review. I was thinking about getting the coilover set. Right now I'm on skunk2 coilovers and tokico blue shocks on my coupe. The ride is so bouncy.

OK guys bare with me here i am in the process of purchaseing my first a coil over kit for my 1999 civic EM1 and i have been shoping around. Now correct me if i am wrong but the pro series comes with a coil over sleeve and strut all made by skunk2 right??.
I have been to alot of shops and alot of people are telling me to get some coilvers and put a koni strut in. But i have been a little un easy with the hole idea of getting one brand of sleeve and a different strut should i be uneasy about this.?Thats why i have been seriously considering the Tein Type Flex because it comes with every thing made by Tein.
thanks for the help in advance.

I got alittle inside scoop on the new skunk2 coilovers today and in about two month's they will be coming out with a new setup with damping adjustment so if you guys could wait I would pick those up or if you can't wait get the omni power full coilover setup it is made by the same company that makes skunk2 stuff and another company I can't think of but the omni's have damping adjustment and you are able to drop them a little farther. I bought I the package from robear for $879 and it comes with the omni coilover's, LCA's, front camber arms, and rear tow linkage which helps in camber adjustment for the rear. I will post a thread when I put them on and show what they look like and let you guys know what the ride is like.

Glad you like the new S2 coilovers. Haven't read many reviews about them, so thanks for writing this one. However, your previous setup leaves much to be desired; the improvement in ride quality is probably just because you were using Neuspeed Races on OEM shocks.
