frame is most likely bent. try and get it pulled. or get a new new frame and move everything over.

Not trying to make you cry...but that thing will never drive straight again.

Get some good money out of her, and get her a decent replacement. Sucks man... don't let yourself get screwed out of a clean *** car.

your avatar is amazing bc i know what that text says, i swear i almost fall off the chair every time i see that pic.

crxzcracer:

youll need to pull a whole front suspension out of a donor car and have a good body shop do the work.

the car im driving was hit very badly in the front, it drives fine. the bumper still doesnt look right, but im too poor right now to do anything abouut that, but it was made drivable again.

the point is you have to decide which would be more cost effective, and at this point, i think a new shell might be in order.

sorry to see another crx go.

better luck in the future i hope!

Yea you know i mean for the price a shop is gonna make u pay to fix it you might as well get another rex. If it was her fault then i could see it working but it wasnt. What you should do is if you have the money FIND a crx first, better yet u can even find one with missing interior and all that and get it real cheap then just swap all ut interior motor ect into it and u'll have a good shape crx at a fraction of the cost for a fixed crx with a wreck on its title. Even worse that headlight frame just that being bent means salvage. Kinda gay but thats how it works because these ar uni-body cars so its considered one piece, u **** one thing up the whole car is junk..

so either what i said or try to sell the whole car and start over but ur better off finding a good cheap *** deal and taking what u need off ur old one..

You need a front core support, Doesnt look like it went all the way back to the strut brace so you will nee part of a driver side front up until the factory welds. Your lower control arm was pushed back. If you want to go cheap route bumper is salvagable. Get a core support, Light, Fender, and part of the driver side apron.

The car will be fine if you have someone that knows what they are doing installing all of this. These cars are unitized they do not have frames a frame puller will not work.

It should be salvageable. It looks like the main support beam is still striaght just cut and section the headlight bucket area, get a new fender, hood, bumper, and I would replace both x-members just to be safe, w/ all the suspension. As long as the strut tower is ok, I say save it. I've even seen people pull those out too, but at that point I would toss it and start over. It's just as bad as mine was when I bought it, other than the headlight bucket area. I just replaced the suspension and the body work, and got it alligned.

Save it! It doesn't look too far gone, but we're all looking at pics not the actual thing.

To post those pics, add those exact addresses inbetween the [IMG][/IMG] tags in the Reply Window. Then delete the .jpg off the end.

Oh, and I have no idea about your car. Just felt like helping a n00b.

bump because I have a land cruiser that has survived an accident in which the other guys car was totaled (he ran a stop sign) and my dad got a broken corner lens and a messed up bumper. Those things can withstand anything.

You have the money, you have the technology, I think you can rebuild her! Stronger, Faster, and better than before! I would hate to see another good CRX go to waste. It doesn't look too bad; I would say go for it. You say you are getting front clip? Enough parts should be in that to rebuild the poor rex.

P.S. **** does happen. We just wrecked our van the night before new years, went into a corner at 10 and lost it on ice, as did 2 people behind us. I definitely know how you feel right now. No matter how good you are, things still happen.

sorry to see that. i will attest to land bruisers being beefy; our 97 has been hit by a plow truck, rolled into a concrete barrier, tree, mailbox, my integra twice (damn women drivers), and tons of other stuff. total damage: 1 headlight and a bumper (bumper for cosmetic reasons).

it would be a lot cheaper, easier, and faster to just get another one. besides the initial damage, you'll have all sorts of other issues. other parts not noticably damaged wearing out faster than they should, all sorts of new rattles. the car could become a money pit and spend more time parked than driven.

2nd that idea the price it would cost to get it and shipped. would be the same price to repair the frame and put a jdm front

If you have never done a front clip or body work for that matter before you do not know what you are getting into. You will possibly make that car very dangerous to drive. Dont mess with it if you dont know what your doing its not as easy as you think.

Umm all I can say that you can do it by a CRX body that is in decent shape and pull your motor out of that one.

crx's dont have a frame, its a unibody car, the frame is the car,

you definatley have a busted subframe and the steering rack, tie rods, lca's (upper and lower) are all probably fucked.

If you can do the work yourself and get parts from the junkyard then its not that bad ive replaced those things on my car, however if you are paying for labor that right there is enough to total the car out, and thats not including the body work.

Hate to say it, but you need to find another crx, they can be found for cheap, maybe get one that wasnt as nice and use your nice parts and convert it back.
