This Is For All The People That Said Mugen Active Gate Didn't Fit Behind 15" Wheels, No More Interne
Just making a post to show the people that spread myths around on honda-tech, I hate when people hear something from somebody and never tried it themselves. First hand experience is what I go by, not what other people heard from there brother's friend's friend. The wheels are 15" TE-37's with 35 offset, no spacer or anything was need. It was a very close fit I must say, but I remember AJ racing and King motorsports saying it was not applicable with 15" wheels, 16" at least. Oh well check out the pictures, they speak for themselves. No offense to the mentioned companies, just repeating what I saw and read. I just want to give correct information to people that have these brakes and are wondering about using 15" wheels.

Hope this helps people debating on getting these because they were told they couldn't use a 15" wheel. Super tight fit, but its fits.

wow, that is definitely a tight fit. Good work man, hopefully this will shed more light on something where people were given bad information.

That's not a tight fit....Del Sol SI rims has the same clearance as that with the stock calipers...
just goes to show you what real racers are willing to do to get out there on the track
**** the tight fit...if there aren't any sparks flying out of your rims when going down the track...it fits
this is the kind of info we need more around here
Good Job on the test fitment Willis!

How satisfied are you with the Mugen Active Gate system?

wow thats a pretty tight fit
I would say it depends on the wheel
but its good to know if you have those specific size wheels, that they will fit

Yes, True. I would say you'd want to get a wheel with spokes that curve out, ie: ce28, mf10, te37, etc.

looks like that **** would hit the magnets clean off of the wheel... imo I dont see why they wouldnt fit since all they are is s2k calipers painted bronze with mugen slapped on them lol.

lol, yes s2k calipers, but....mugen pads, mugen lines, and the biggest change that sets it apart from an original s2k brak setup is the the rotors. they are pretty damn huge, more surface for the pads to bite on equals more stopping power.

Bigger rotor means the rotor doesnt get hot as fast, doesnt make you brake any betterEDITYes they do make the braking better, but the stopping power is determined by the strength of the caliper. The caliper determines that
And yes the mugen lines are slip covered steel braided lines so there is less of a chance of them unraveling or getting demolished under hard use.
The pads im sure are great, knowing mugen they are oem pads for a different car lol but im not knocking you, id rock the BRAKE set up too hommie... You know I jock your ****!!! specially those sexy *** ce-28's
