Flooded Interior!!!
Hey guys.!! i'm back again, currently have a problem with 90 crx. I'm getting leakage through the back hatch lever that lifts up the back hood. And when it rains, I seem to be getting water drip from my left hatch damper. . . I couldn't fix it myself and had to go to work in the rain so i tied a bag around it and took pictures of the results. I'm only getting water drip from the LEFT side lever. Why? How would i go upon fixing this? Here's some pictures that i took. . .

your probably thinking wtf is up with the bag? I had to go to work in like 15 mins so i drove it to work. . it was a right there and then fixture until i get home from work. Can anyone help me?

I'd probably suggest getting a new hatch seal, which shouldn't be too expensive from SLHondaparts.com or Hondaautomotiveparts.com - I've never experienced that problem myself so I'm not sure...but that could very well be the culprit, if the water is all coming in thru different parts of the rear hatch.
Also make sure the gutters along the side of the hatch are clear of leaves and the like.

Drain Holes ROCK!!!
Also check the rear tailight gaskets
When the water falls off the rear glass and to the rear the water likes to hide by the tailights-if they're cracked or the gaskets at bunk then water can get in that way as well.
Since you're car is gutted it's best to have someone spray water outside while you watch from the inside to find out where the leak is.

I had this same problem with my '89 Si. First check the rear hatch squirter. If you have an Hf that isn't your problem. You can use two credit cards to remove the squirter and seal it with silicone. Next if the squirter isn't the problem then it's your rain gutters. Honda used a sealer under the black plastic to seal the roof to the side body panels with a series of spot welds. Over time the sealer cracks and water seeps through. The only way to fix it is to pull out the plastic strip, reseal the cracked sealer, and put a new plastic gutter in (mine cracked taking it out). I doubt it's your hatch seal....
I had the same problem with 3 crx's. It was the body seal.. right above the hatch hinges.. honda won't touch it.. but most body shops can reseal it.. it's a two part epoxy...or go ghetto fab with silicone!
Like the other two said, seal the rear squirter and the black "seals" on your roof. There's a thread where I expanded on this somewhere, let me see if I can find it.
i got so sick of water getting into my crx that i gutted the whole thing, busted out all of the windows, and tore off every piece of moulding. now im ganna weld the seams solid and after i paint it, itll have all brand new seals and mouldings. if it leaks after that, ill run it over with a dozer!
i took a bathroom foset white expanded tape ( that's what it looks like ) and wrap it around the open space about 25 times and it stopped flooding.!! If it solves the problem, i'm good.
My hf leaks on the driver side shock too. LOL
Been too lazy to fix it. I'll probably go silicone it for a temp fix when i get some free time.
Didn't think about putting a bag there like you. I just let it leak.
