Default Well... it's been fun :-(

Well guys, looks I'm going to have to say goodbye to probably the BEST (overall) car that I've ever owned. Somehow, the lady "didn't see" a bright red Integra with it's headlights on and did a U-Turn in front of me. She still ran into the side of me, pushed me into a curb, and well... totalled the car. I did my best to avoid it, and at least was able to avoid running smack into the side of her (which would have hurt me, I'm sure). Fortunately no one was hurt, but now I'm in need of another car. If anyone knows of any good deals on a NON MODIFIED GS-R in the Southeast, please let me know.

Yup she admitted fault and insurance company has accpeted liablity. The police issued her a ticket and made it clear that I did nothing wrong. IMHO they are just lucky I did what I did to avoid it. Had I not, the insurance company would have been paying for 2 totalled cars and my hospital bills.

Sorry for the loss.

Is the insurance company going to offer you a buyback? If so, then the parts can be sold to offset the cost of the new car and you can possibly end up with a couple thousand bucks in your pocket. Just a thought.

That really sucks, but I'd just be thankful to your health. I had a similar u-turn accident and it was no fun... sorry about your car!

I know the g2's only had one. It saved me from getting hurt though, check this out:

That was only at 20 mph, so I hope they improved it for the newer integras...

I hate to see you lose your car but at the same time at least it was lost due to an accident rather then theft. I saw your post and i figured another ****** *** theif got away with another car...

Good Luck and there are always more fish in the sea. (gsr's that is... )

Thanks for the kind words guys. I'm going to see about keeping the car as well. The interior is black and in really good shape, also the motor is pretty tight as well, even though it's got a ton of miles on it. I'll let you guys know what ends up happening.
