Default Carbon Fiber Hatch Opinions

Has anyone here bought a CF hatch or seen one in person? I saw that GTP makes one for the CRX but wanted opinions before I purchased. Pics would be nice if available.

Sorry if this is the wrong forum. I'm new here.

its awesome but it sucks because i have heard you have to use lexan glass, and if you use lexan glass its cool because its light, but it sucks because it gets cloudy alot and just sucks to see out of from what i hear, i would only buy one if my car was a show car

Most of the weight is in the factory glass anyways. So, unless you put lexan in, it really doesnt save much weight at all.

As far as weight goes, doesn't every little bit help? As far as installed pics and such, thats what I was counting on you guys for.

Anyone else?

if every little bit counts than theres all sorts of different things that you could do, dont eat as much before you go out driving, grab the change laying on the floor etc. one or two pounds isnt going to change the wolrd, anything over lets say 20 lbs i could see a difference.

ist there a coating or something for lexan so it doesnt get cloudy? what happens if you tint lexan? will it help prevent the cloudyness? oh how much was that CF hatch?

OK.. I said it before, but here's something to think about.

You make a carbon hatch, to save weight.
You put in lexan to save weight.
And you make a hole for a wiper for what...? To scratch up your lexan?

That thing is a practical joke, except it's not practical at all.

The hole is there because they made it from a mold with a hole.

Man I'd get one if there's one for the civic hatches... my hatch is kinda rusted so I was looking for another hatch anyway.

I'd put in glass... unless you are a hardcore drag racer, lexan is a possibility.

Get that CF hatch, and put in glass... (IMO)

Don't get me wrong... I think it LOOKS great.
But if you're claiming weight savings, I call bullshit.
Those savings are only for a hardcore racecar...and not a DD where you need a wiper hole.
