I only had to trim a small portion of the backside of the lower grill.

back from the dead, I'm guessing the 8" JRC IC won't clear OE 99-00 EK bumpers w/o slight modifications right? I'm planning of purchasing this IC since Spoolin Performance recommends this size IC for their log manifold with their IC pipings. Here's a pic I found from JRC's website:
