Okay this is a new one on me, my battery light is on while the car is off, everything in the car is turned off. When I start the car the battery light goes off. WTF?

annnnnnd my damn oil pressure light just started flashing when I started the car a few minutes ago, not on steady, just flashing.

 

I think it means it isnt charging? Or it isnt holding charge? Not sure.

 

I've had my oil light flash on me once, but I was low on oil. I always thought it would light steady.

As for the battery light, I've seen wierd **** like that happen and it ended up being a bad ground. Have you installed anything electrical lately?

 

no not since I wired in my foglight switch a couple weeks ago. I think my alternator is screwed, as I removed the main positive wire from the alternator, and the battery light went out (car still off this whole time, no key in or anything).

The Integrated Control Unit makes the oil light flash if it detects only a momentary loss of oil pressure, but it's supposed to go away after turning off and restarting thee car, but mine flashes continuously every time I start the car.
